Metal Gear Solid was the shittiest game ever whit long boring in-game cinematics (the longest was 45 fkn minutes).

I'll never understand why console gamers love cinematics so much.

It's possibly because the majority of Japanese games are terrible to actually play and nearly always rely on graphics/art style and the "story".

Actually, I think it's the other way around. Remember Mario Bros 2? Japan decided that the game was too difficult for North America, so they just remade Doki Doki Panic with different sprites, and that was our version of Mario 2.

I think America is to blame more then Japan for that.

Sure Western games are often designed to be "easier" but Japanese developers often fail at making actual games or doing anything different than the generic JRPG model.

You might not enjoy the way the story is told but the game is fucking fantastic.

1) tedious
2) voice acting made me :rolleyes:
3) I didn't see anything amazing about being able to hide behind a wall and shoot
4) shooters are shit on consoles

Just didn't appeal to me, when I got an xbox when it came out Halo was ok, I didn't bother with either Halo 2 or 3 (don't own a 360).

I'm a die-hard fan of MGS. I love the convoluted story telling, no matter how camp it get, and I actually like the cutscenes because it fills the game out. I havn't played MGS4, no PS3.
