I've just enabled fastpath on my broadband which is great as its shaved 10ms off. But the downside is when im on skype im getting really bad packet loss/red spikes in quake 3

Broadband is be*
Fastpath = on
Router = Netgear D834G with latest DG Team custom firmware

Any ideas!?

Try getting a router with QoS.

Both Q3 packets and Skype packets are UDP, but you could change the priority on them on the router (DI-625).

That's my best solution for you =)

yuour'e brother is ragequitting all the time because he gets slapped left and right, ruining the fun for everyone. could play more but maybe we should enforce bans for ragequit like in pickup!

Hmm. When I have skype on, I lag in Quake. When I don't have skype on, I don't lag in quake.

Now only if there was some way for me to not lag in quake... whatever shall I do...

interleaving disabled -> lower pings (this is advertised as fastpath by many ISPs)

problem has gone now. I upgraded the router firmware. thanks for all your help!
