hacked or something

Installed a fresh version of XP last night, signed into msn (an old version) to chat with mates after, went bed and left my pc on as always...

woke up to go work, go to check my email and it says my password is wrong, try again etc, still not working!

I try and reset it, but my security question is just a bunch of boxes with numbers in em, and i have no idea what my answer is...

So i dont have a clue what happend!

ive had to make a new hotmail account so i can chat with my friends tonight, but its utter gay

plus i had about 4k worth of emails dating back to like 2001 or something, so im sure theres some security information within my emails somewhere.

Fuck sake. :(

update, finally got it back \o/

Anybody recommend a good IM client? (that uses msn?)

is it possible to look at the logs of the ip numbers that have logged onto your gmail account from the level of a gmai user?

yeah you can, I'm using a german email for it. just sounds to be overall quite shit seeing as just about every forum/game/application form/whatever has a note that hotmail users might not get the mails, or are not allowed, or might be lost in spam filters, or.... wtf really

that's more a result of shitty spam filters as far as my experience goes

Never had a problem not getting mail, it either arrives in my inbox or ends up in the junk folder, never have I not received an email that I had knowledge was coming.

ive had my hotmail account since 2000 something too. i got it when i started using msn messenger, and ive had the same ever since. too much hassle to change msn adress.

using the hotmail to register at forums etc, but gmail for private mails.

Thats strange, pidgin has been by far the most robust client for me. Even cross network, I have never had it crash, and I have been using it for years (back when it was gaim).

ermmm...in Severity, a SF movie, appears a subliminal message, its purpose is to start someone's subconstient to manifest. The starting "code" is when it pronounce "Miranda" :)

I'll second all the pidgin suggestions above, it really is a nice program. Plus you can have fun for the first couple of days if you activate the 'psychic' plugin so you can say something to someone who was typing to you but hasn't sent yet. Worth it for a giggle :P
