Content is really nice, those Quad runs are great, but I don't really like the cfg being used, it's a bit too dark. Seems like FPS are quite low or have I hallucinations?

That's why I generaly prefere mixed movies (combination of defrag, tdm, duel, ctf) rather than dedicated movie (especialy when it's only frags, or defrag).

In fact if I have the choice between dedicated movies, I will chose CTF ones whithout hesitation. Because in CTF movies you also have quad run and also tricks&run, and your goal is not only to frag (in fact is not to frag) but to capture the flag... (ORLY !?:o). So CTF movie is already a mixed movie :p

if you can get hold of the sourcecode / algorithm i'll help you convert one to the other. if it's not available, then the best we can do is do an educated guess if you have detailed descriptions of the cvars involved.

Someone was working on a universal accel program, aion or something, but it seems to have died :( It would have been cool.

I think he did make an "alpha" program which gave 0.1 accel, but the web site he had it on has been removed :( So if anyone has it please upload it ;D

This was some epic shit. Great work. I enjoy the motion blur and the dark-ish color palette. Again, motion blur should be added at QL and Q5. It emphasizes action a lot. Makes any frag look awesome, and newbies love that shit.

I think the damage kick was for movie effects, which I liked.. if I was a competition player, I would definitely turn it off, but for movies they are nice. Which is the same reason you don't see the games in picmip crappy.

what's up with this 'pirates of the caribbean-like' scenario,i mean same music,same font (same camera work :D?)
quality and movie cfg was fine with the exception of cg_damagekick 1 and jittery camera work at some moments..a combination which rly forced me to stop the video at some moments before i go o_0

2rahzei yeah, shake effect is from q3mme.First time i hate this bouncing but for final movie I use it for intensive atmosphere.

some great frags with decent editing but the motion blur killed it for me. good motion blur is tricky to do and it's very easy to go overboard. i've done so myself in quite a few occasions in the past. this distracted me a bit too much.

I do enjoyed the content and the music, since I kinda like 'Epic' movie style, but didn't really like the visual design, and it's a bit choppy, that's why I rated it only 8.

I don't care too much about the content. It's the atmosphere that I love. It's about tension, adrenaline, representing your nation, being some kind of warrior.... you know.... the kind that Unreal Tournament tries to represent in their intro movies :)

Show this to your 14-year-old noob friends when QL is released and they'll start playing for sure :).

wow, i was hooked for the whole movie. keep the damagekick, it adds more drama and supports the soundtrack ;) makes me wanna play tdm again :( really miss those fun times

decoding ran surprisingly well on my crappy cpu despite the fact it has high movement.

btw, is this normal q3 gore/gibs? i need to find a way to get this nomip'ped :| want that too

Purely a vq3 showcase movie, although quite good at it.. I find it hard to come up with constructive criticism because it mainly didn't really have "editing" as such, however for a summary of a cup, it's not doing half bad. The soundtrack was a bit too much of the same, the outro was frankly very unfitting for a movie of this sort, as there is not much to _produce_ or _direct_ in here, it's just showing to be far too epic than it really was. Anyway that's what I think, nevertheless a pretty decent watch.

Also I didn't really know vq3 is so much cs, it's all about the aim isn't it.

Amazing movie mate!!!! Make more. Definately in the top 10 quake 3 movies for me and I'll definately be saving this one.

Only quibbles were:

- No enemy bright skins
- Would have been better to use a flag for the player's country instead of just writing it.

Wow im sorry but that movie was just boring. The frags were just average frags u see happen in every game. Adding dramatic music and trying to use different angles to hype the frag still wont make it any better. The credits were to long and way to much motion blur. In this movie I didnt see any shots that really wowed me.

The (ex) UT fan i'm found it awsome. Not about the editing (i've seen better) but looking at the frags, the maps gameplay and layout (i'm discovering quake sorry :\) i understand now why this game is one of the best and still played in big events :) !
