I have G5 and I use 2000 dpi, 500 mhz refresh rate, no acceleration and sensitivity 2 in all FPS games :-)

no. 500hz is the sweetspot.

if you use a super high sensitivity, then use high DPI.

But if you're over like 10-15/cm a 360 then doesn't matter.

It's because it's too much adjustment, really. I normally use my IE3.0 which is 400dpi. I use the lowest dpi available on my Razer Death Adder too, which is 450. I like 800 on the G5 because it's less likely to skip when I move it at the speed I'm used to for the distance I'm used to. 400 it will definitely skip, and 2000 is just silly feeling to me.

im only asking because im using my G5 right now and it skips when i move it around quite fast - i am however(:D) using carpet for a mouse pad because mine hasnt been delivered yet

I don't use setpoint. I get 500hz in any computer without drivers. Checked with Mouserate Checker. The DPI is controlled on the mouse hardware with the + and - buttons.

why not 1000hz?

buy a mx518 :P
