how come they allow so many people in? i was under the impression that the UK was pretty strict about immigrants coming in. i was pretty surprised when my cousin and his wife just decided all of a sudden to leave to the UK last year... and they did. iirc, they didn't even have job offers or anything. however, they were both highly qualified. my cousin's wife was a doctor here and i guess doctors usually shouldn't have trouble finding a job anywhere in the world.

weird because general practises and hospitals are full of Indian doctors/consultants/surgeons and what have you, you guys must have some kind of genetic advantage when it comes to working with the human body haha

if your country is part of the EU you'll get in easily (hence the surge of Polish) though I remember reading about restrictions being put in place, which was basically students, professionals an and so on only being allowed in.

I think there are also ways in if you already have family in the country and of course the illegal side of things

its a government issue simple enough, the problem isnt complex its simple, wages arent staying in relation with anything because companies can easily find somebody to do the job at minimal costs, and with added demand means theres no housing available, therefore inflation increases even more while wages stay more or less the same. And when the government does increase the minimal wage companies find ways to exploit it by making it near impossible to earn commissions people easily could achieve before, and many other loop holes were they get away with paying more or less the same they originally did.
