if they plan on interrogating him, then yes, the miranda warning must be given. but i don't even know how you have determined that he did not get the warning; it might have been given away from the cameras.

I believe I remember reading that American cops have orders to use Tasers only if it is more or less the only chance to arrest someone or to prevent harm to themselves or others. (Read this in an article about ow Taser are used way more thas was originally intended)

And neither rules apply here. He was not harming anyone and the already had him.

Dragging him is necessary if he doesn't move voluntarily and pinning him down to cool him down and/or put on cuffs also makes sense.
Beating him with a stick on the other hand would be unneccessary.

What I would do if he grabs something is somewhat irrelevant because police officers are trained to handle such situations and have done so for years without tasers. And I'm sure the didn't beat people up in the process.

Let me rephrase the connection statement to: Send an electric shock down his line and see what happens.

Struggling? Several of them grabbed him for no reason and tried to take his stuff. If someone grabbed me and started pulling me like that I would get upset too. Besides, I wouldnt call that struggling, he did not look like he tried very hard to get away, he didnt swing any punches, kick, or push anyone. He got like 90 seconds or so before they turned the mic off. In a civilized environment they could have gotten a single cop walk up to him and tell him to calm down or finish the question.

As for tasing I do not understand how you can think its hillarious. Tasers have in the past stopped people's breathing. But again why am I surprised. I've seen "Cops" on tv, most of them use excessive force anyways =)

I dont put much faith in police training though. If its anything we've learned in sweden the past few years its that police officers are NOT trained to handle their job properly.
'We've had alot of fuzz in sweden the past few years about the police. Most notably in Gothenburg 2001 (where the police started shooting wildly, throwing stones at people, and deprived hundreds of people of their freedom, without them even doing anything). Also lately we've had cops shooting people (and killing), when for example the guy was alone and 15-20 meters or so away.

Although they didnt start shooting in the clip showed above, they were obviously too hard on the guy. Police officers has a very special status/position in our society, and if they abuse that or cant handle it properly, they need to be critisized for it, I think.
