Manos and the Hands of Fate is definitely not a B movie. It's not even a C movie. It's hard to even call it an F movie. It's so poorly edited, written, and directed that it's more like an elaborate home movie created by 10 year olds staring these poor people (who I may add that 3 of them committed suicide after the release of the film and no [surviving] cast or crew member ever went on to make another movie).

If you want good B movies, especially action, look no further than any [early] Steven Seagal movie. Those are laugh riots. See Out For Justice, which has one of the best intros for an action flick that I've ever seen (where he throws the guy thru the windshield of a car).

Gore-schlock fans might enjoy early Sam Raimi or Peter Jackson flicks.

And lastly, if you're looking for a modern day Ed Wood, then check out some Uwe Boll films (Alone In The Dark, House of the Dead, Bloodrayne). And yes, House of the Dead actually features action scenes from the game, spliced directly into the normal course of the movie (god knows for what reason).

downloaded it for the day after a big party as hung-over entertainment. And I thought Vampires, Swords, good-looking main character should be good.

Ahaha, yeah, it was soooo bad. My gf and I saw it in the theaters and it was only us and maybe 3 other people in that theater watching it. But we knew it was gonna be bad going into it.

I think Uwe's worst movie has got to be Alone In The Dark.

The intro action scene has a part where Christian Slater jumps through a glass window rather than walk through the open door next to it (and the camera works frames it perfectly so you can see it happen). It's fucken stunning.

I really doubt Uwe takes himself seriously because on the commentary tracks for the movie House of the Dead, he talks about how each scene in the movie is like influenced by these classic films.

For instance, a scene when a bitch starts taking her shirt off and showing her tits, Uwe's commentary was like: "And this scene I especially like. It has that Gone With The Wild feel to it. I was really influenced by that film to make this scene." And you can hear everyone else in the recording room where he's doing his commentary laughing their asses off.

But the funniest thing is that he still manages to get financing for his movies. I seriously think he's TRYING to make bad movies. It's what he does. It's his niche.
