Would you recommend skipping out zagreb altogether?

I've been wanting to go from budapest->Split and then take a ferry boat down the coast to Dubrovnik to finish off. Would Split be the better option you think?

if its in the summer ure traveling, really think the coastline would be more fun.
zagreb is almost empty over the summer, even the clubs "move" to the cost.
so ye, dont think u'll miss much by skipping zgb and having some fun on the see.

since your with your friends, might recommend going to isle Pag. croatian ibiza. but if a beautiful seaside or historical "things" is whats ure looking for, u can basically go anywhere, or just travel by the cost till u reach dubrovnik.

last summer i whent to rome, this year i just take another city and go visit the musea and buildings and shit. don't know witch city yet. i'd love to go to something scandi (view some viking stuff).

i'd suggest Barcelona ... lovely city it is!

been to spain last summer, just south of barcelona, blanes. :)

Portugal has good beaches, cold water, good food, dodgy water-currents/waves (which can be fun) and good desserts*:P.. Excellent place if you wanna alternate between laying on the beach and eating in restaurants ;)

greece is fun, ive only been to laganas, which is VERY lively and fairly cheap

vegas in a couple of months, and then cyprus to chill for a couple of weeks in the summer!

helicopter tour around grand canyon is supposed to be very nice and the rollercoaster up in the stratosphere tower to be very very scary

I'm going to China (Hong Kong/Shenzhen) for ~two weeks in may/june. Maybe a weekend trip to Tokyo/Japan as well, not sure yet.

I'm going to portgual for 9weeks to work in my fiancée's parents holiday home like i do every year =) Good food, good wine, good weather, swimming pool - what more do you want :-)
