if they were in before, nice, if not, see above...

yeah because they're useful and feel cool and players want them. Just wonder yourself what the warsow you have in avatar would be without things they stole from other games.
At least si has a lot of things you don't see anywhere like an original gameplay and original movements.

Please, walljumps were in Prince of Persia, UT2k4 and other games before warsow. Crouchsliding you can do IRL, not much of a steal :D.

To be honest I quite like the fact they are willing to take new ideas and just put them into their game and not worry about having just copied them!
