It would be interesting to see if there's anything benefit from real life soldiers having played virtual FPS games on a hardcore basis.
I know it's not RL, but I'm sure a lot of the principles are the same and I would bet money that those who have played FPS on a serious basis would show something over those that don't.

Armed forces have been using virtual simulators for years to fly planes.
Just cuz games are mostly seen as fun and non serious, don't mean the medium can't serve a serious purpose.

Last year some friends of mine used a copy of Gran Turismo to prepare for a real life trip to the Nurburgrin in Germany and found it a huge help.
I'm more on about having an actual awareness of the environment before you enter it IRL and using the skills you get in FPS games to out wit the opponet. But many good gamers claim to use their gaming skills to outhink players IRL poker.

I am asking myself what the problem of the kode5 staff is.
They promised to be uploading the demos to their page, and the demo download page seems to be working... just no demos there.

How can it be that ingame has demos, and the organizers not? Pretty poor performance of kode5, imho.
