Does look interesting I admit, but some of those maps look terrible and garish, really puts me off. .. Also the default Q4 player models are too tall and lanky, something like the Q1/Q3 'Ranger' model would rock :)

Didn't like some of the filters/effects used on the video either, like the grain etc :(

Looks like nice work on the Mod. though :)

Thats mostly because it was recorded during the beta phase of the maps but now that they have reached final status they look much better.

This is definately more of a frag video than an overview of DeltaCTF and its features or mod specific gameplay. We hope to have several upcoming things showing off what all Delta is about.

At Quakecon we lost two computers due to a power issue (my powersupply and motherboard were fried) -- there are still a few things we'd like to finish up on Delta before we make the 1.0 public and so right now we're working around our technical difficulties (read lack of dev systems) to finish everything up and get everyone playing... All in due time. =) Point being, we're getting everything finished and hope to have some additional movies and new blitz showing off our features and informing newcomers what Delta has to offer.

Will this be pushed by ID? The best way to release stuff like this and get people involved is to include large mappacks (like the one suggested in the Q4 forum) Delta and Q4Max and set Max and Delta to be the primary modes of play for TDM / DM / Duel / CTF. That why everyone has the mods and you don't have the uninformed newbies playing some baseq4 for which there are no servers.

good vid.....still kinda miffed about the whole "get hooked" thing at the end tho.....shouldnt the grapple ctf mod propoganda show more grapple in it?

(i ask this mostly cus i suck with grapple and would like to see some skilled grapplemokeys gettin it done!)

Is the version used in this vid compatible with 1.3 or is it the old 1.2 beta version?

We have a 1.3 compatible, but all of this footage was from an old beta.

could you tell me how the moviemakers captured the footage? did they use an external program or has the avidemo been fixed for netdemos in 1.3? last time i checked, it still didn't work. i'd really love to see this working :)

it's funny how a movie advertising CTF is mostly showing only 2 players on a map dueling ^_^
