The NQR 4on4 ladder has recently been restarted and will be up during the summer. Gather some friends and experience the cadillac of QW - 4on4!
"There's no way in hell i'm gonna spend my summer on E1M2, DM3 and DM2 only!"
- The ladder includes more maps than the classic big three. Check rules page for complete list. With Qw4ever running during the summer more clans will also want to play even more custom maps to get in shape.
"So...now i only have to go out and buy Quake and spend the whole summer with setting things up in QW and i'll probably be ready in time for next summer..."
- fQuake (note: not eQuake) is all you need. It's based off of the Shareware version but includes a modern client so it's a nice setup anyway. It includes everything you need to play some competitive QW (like brightskins, loc files, team messages, proper config etc).

- You could try finding a clan in the Quakeworld.nui transfer forum where you state your experience, nationality etc and you may get a reply by a clan with nice lads in it who are willing to guide a new player.
