So I just clicked on a few random timestamps... from what I can see the entire game is still just 3v1 rocket vs instagib mode taken in turns? I thought the devs said that this was just the beginning and they were going to expand the game into something with a bit more complexity over time... more weapons, different gametypes.

The game's aesthetics are nice and the engine looks solid... what a waste.

There are different modes to play, with 'combo' coming close to a 2v2 duel-like gamemode. There are weekly combo and elite cups with prizemoney (see here), but only elite is being played at lans. I find myself liking the combo style more, but I still think Elite is well-thought out.

Playing 1v3 and winning an attack round can be really rewarding. Especially if you happen to turn the tables with a successful attack round.

In the end, Shootmania was just supposed to be the simpler FPS. Matter of taste I guess. 2016 will have another huge update coming for UI, game system and SM stuff, but the mechanics wil remain untouched (as almost all bugs have been ironed out so far).

Really exciting stuff, I can understand why the caster is screaming. Peaking behind corners and spamming rockets or rails really looks exciting
