There are a bunch of other IRC clients that you can use if you are tired of the message, or just overall want a better IRC-client

Also try HexChat, it's based on the latest X-Chat and is free for Windows.

as for client... add http://webchat.quakenet.org/?nick=yournick&am...2,channel3 to your bookmarks in your browser

with hexchat / xchat 2 you wouldn't even need to write in your name, channels to join

you start it up, go "network list"
pick quakenet
type in user name(s)
edit
at "connect command" you specify a text file in which you write down all /join (or /auth if you need it) commands
and in the future all you need to do is to double click hexchat

sounds a lot more complicated than adding http://webchat.quakenet.org/?nick=yournick&am...2,channel3 to your browser bookmarks... unless you actually need to get authed every time you connect to IRC, in that case your solution is more adequate
