George Lucas is a twat. Real sets are the way to go. No matter how realistic they make the background of a green screen look, the actors will always be detached from it and having to imagine they are there rather then just naturally be there.

I remember watching a making of Star Wars ep3 on TV the other day. Laughed my arse of. Just blue screens everywhere. One point into the filming, Natalie Portman (fit) was doing one of the scenes and said "this is a joke right?" Surely that was the fucking sign it was going to fail so bad.

The look on their faces (Lucas etc.) at the first screening of the Phantom Menace is absolutely priceless. It was a kind of disbelief at the abomination they had created.

Haha that bit was fucking hilarious. It just makes me laugh (angrilly) how they ruined a set of films that meant so much to me as a kid. It's fucking painful to know that the entire reason The Empire got into power was by the hands of a talking fucking fish. I mean okay, a bunch of cuddly teddy bears DEFEATED The Empire, but at least they were fucking likeable...

Well it's not so much the first films that angers me. It's the fact that tard Lucas is editing the originals to fit with the prequal trilogies *spits*

At the end of Return of the Jedi I just shout at the TV (I know, I'm a nerd). They edited JarJar Binks into the ending shouting "WEESA FREE!" and at the end replaced the force ghost of the kind happy looking old man with an evil looking fucking Hayden Christensen. There's just no fucking need for it...

That makes me go mental each time I watch it too, I preordered the original trilogy on Blu Rays but I have no doubts that it will the same stupid edited re-release [)
