Decided to share this picture I found on reddit with my fellow esr users! and share some quick thoughts and ramblings in my head.

The figures that shock me is what I want to discuss! I can't believe only 33.5m PS3's and 39m xboxes have been sold.
Also looking at the current Nintendo trend, with the NES going through the years to the game cube, the numbers drastically decline, is that due to a more competitive market as time goes by or what?
Only through total innovation has the Wii (67.46m) been the major (RECENT) rising star exceeding the previous highest selling console, the nes (67.45m). I dunno what is more impressive, the fact that Nintendo sold that many NES's when the games market was less mature, or the fact the WII has sold more in this current very competitive, saturated and mature market.
Continuing with the DS, I now understand that the ads about the DS being for young and old hold true, they have sold 125.3m DS's more then any traditional games console! Though im not sure how much profit they make after the sales, as more people pirate DS hardware then consoles.
Im also surprised that the so called supreme Iphone has only sold 42.m but I suppose thats down to fact the phone market is very very very competitve and not actually targeted for gaming (but its getting that way).
And to top it off and end my ramblings, there were two porn games unofficially released for nintendo hardware!
