good initiative, but couldn't finnish watching swe-ice on dm6 due to sound going unsynched. it's like the worst thing a vod can have, sound coming almost a whole second before it actually happens

I've never really liked duel. I just competed on skill sometimes to win prizes :). I've never had any decent strategy in duel, including running items.

If I had to choose the mode I was best at, I'd pick tdm any day. But it's all a long time ago. Perhaps I'm better at duel now then :)

as far as I can remember you were always the weak link in any belgian lineup you've been playing for.

I never said anything about myself being a mainstay mate, accusing others of being the same thing in a discussion is always a sign of weakness.

I just think u could select far better people than some of the randoms who are playing now, even when playing ca like 2 days out of 7 i run into Belgians who have very decent/good aim and are active 24/7. Why not give them a chance.

Oh and as for me being the weak link, as far as i know i'm the only person who has played at eurocup tdm + ctf level for as many as 7 different clans combined (q3 and q4) , up to the semi finals of ec ctf as an active player.. Achieve what i have first then open your mouth.

I started duelling with quakelive, I have been playing CTF since atleast 10 years online and I have missed only a few seasons of CB/JOLT CTF since 2003 (I was more into freezetag then) when I joined digital anarchy with blade, solar, unicious, etc. And I've been playing a good share of tdm competition with JaC on 4v4 and 2v2, once only losing to the div1 final to MIEL in 2v2...

4. genifre aka genet1cz was easily one of the best belgian ctf players of all times and in the late days of q3ctf he was amongst the best players to have on your side (he's way better than what you've ever been ;o)

The esl restriction fair enough, didn't know u have to be 16 these days to play leagues.

As for u playing ctf/duel and geni playing ctf that's all well and good, but this is about the tdm team.

Impulse did tell me he would play. I was kinda hoping for a good lineup with atleast impulse vertex and me, things didnt turn out very well in the end and who the hell cares. We still managed to be top12 with a shitty lineup so I think it's fair enough that I tried to put some activity.

Yes actually. If you can find the games against Finland where we play on a Swedish server for the second map, you'll see everyone on our entire team with 60+ ping, but hitting higher accuracy than we did on the first map which was a UK server.

Quake Live's garbage netcode makes it easier to hit with hitscan weapons on higher ping, I shouldn't be going on Spanish and Swedish servers with 60+ ping and finding it easier to hit than when I have 15-30 ping, but the reality is I find it MUCH easier.

so, I summarize:

Until 80, high ping is awesome, after that it becomes unplayble.
Low ping is more difficult to aim with.
And still the person with the lowest ping hits 74% rail.

Sorry, I'll agree that there it isn't as simple as it used to be with lpb > hpb. And there might be different benefits with different pings. But in this case the numbers don't really back the "high (up to 80) is better than low" theory.

I get 60 in DE and it feels waay better than 80 at all the other EU servers. Haven't tried hitscanning too much on these servers, but I isn't it still a disadvantage with f'd up rockets and impossible to hit plasma?

Yes the timeout was tactical, you get 3x 30 second timeouts, and you have admin /pause for disconnections. Use them wisely.

For the second match in this ASUS ENC 2010, we have to play against very strong competitor and one of the favorites of the tournament - team UK. Even after beating Poland 2:0, I think we still are not favorites in this game. UK players have low pings everywhere, it can be a problem for us to find a fair server. If we solve all our problems with ping, we can show a decent game against a stronger opponent.

We are not favorites in this game, but we will do our best. I believe that we can create a second sensation in a row.

I know Fortune since 2001 year. I don't know his current skill level, but in the 2000-2003 he was very good in duel, TOP20 Russia.

Yes, i remember him for showing quite good performance during some russian tournaments. His skill was little less then top russian players those days, but i think that's because of russian internet infrastructure specific at those times (there was any good internet connections at all, so everyone played on lan) - he never had good enough opponnents to practice and teammates to achieve something in tdm. But now, with qlive, i'm glad that he have possibility to play onboard with good players, increase his skills and demonstrate his talent for rest of community which never heard about him before.

Foppa we are grateful for the re-arrange, it is something I have always tried to do too for other teams and I would hope you also try to carry on doing it if you can.

We practiced as much as we had already been doing, all the UK pracs are in my profile you can count them up if you like but most are without deus so whats really the point...

megbeguk has high ping and hits very high acc. Now either it shows ping doesn't matter or he cheats. To my mind it shows ping doesn't matter as much in quake live.

The time out was because we were arguing about me killing vor.

Russia are one of the strongest nations in the history of quake with a massive player base to select from. They should be expected to win. It was a close game that I feel we threw away with silly mistakes on dm14.

It is not really a sneaky move not to remove CA2, we played it in a couple of pracs and we like it enough to play it. Of course we knew it would most likely be either dm7 or dm14 and we fancied a game on dm14, but in all honesty were not bothered if it had been dm7 or ca2 either. That includes deus as we all agree on any map picks.
