This is the trailer of #unpredictables - the movie (clan ~u. CB OC2006 div² winners), it features cutscenes, where you possibly may get the point of the frag, but it won't show the whole action, hopefuly, leaving you wanting more. ALL footage used in the trailer is taken from the actual movie, which will be released early Q4 2006 (October).

Thanks to the people helping me upload this little trailer, those who gave some webspace, it's appreciated: Modz`, fusie`.

The “most anticipated Wolfenstein frag movie 2006” © Crossfire Community

After months of waiting, the hype and anticipation surrounding this release has gone astronomical. Finally, almost 1 year on, one4one Decimated has landed.

Production began back in September of 2005, when resident Swertcw movie critic United Kingdom -Max- took up the task of creating this project, labeled “Decimated” by then team manager United Kingdom rG. It soon became a labor of love, as he invested over 7 months of editing into this release.

It takes you on a journey through the career of one of Enemy Territory’s most skilled clans. From their early days as uQ Gaming, led by manager United Kingdom rG to their brief stint with Reason Gaming and their eventual resting place at one4one. During their time together they won the ClanBase SummerCup Premier and several other smaller tournaments, including beating Parodia in the first #ET-Cup final.

Without further fanboyism…

At the Games Convention Valve demonstrated a video with ingame scenes of all characters of Team Fortress 2 (TF2). This video is capture from a GC visitor.

The video shows all classes (except for the medic and pyro) in action in a mini-story fashion. One class counters the next until the end "air-dance" of a group of soldiers.

Some notes to the movie:

  • Heavy Weapon Guy can nicely walk while shooting with the minigun
  • The scout is jumping not once (hope this is only because of the movie)
  • The character faces can grin very cool
  • The sentry gun self-buildup rocks!
  • The engineer can walk around while SG is in build process
  • There was no flag at all, only an orange "top secret" case (to steal I guess)
  • corpes and weapons seems to have real physic attached
  • The minigun spread-circle is huge
  • No backpacks from dead people?
  • The spy forgot to lighten his cigarette :-)
UPDATE It seems that EP2 is delayed until February 2007, which is a bad news. Read more here

It's my birthday today \o/ so I'm giving you guys a small teaser to the project I'm currently working on.

Shaolin Productions presents Round3, the sequel to the RA3 classic of 2003 made by rocketbear. (link). You can expect to see quite a few breathtaking frags by rocketbear and his friends. This is a small preview of things to come.

A few of you may whine that it's all RA3 but I'll try to edit it well and keep it interesting :)

Available in 1280x720 and 800x450 resolutions. Codec required is XviD. The HD version may require a fast computer. Duration of the trailer is 1 minute and 10 seconds.

I hope you like it.

We gave you Anti-Conformist a few days back but we don't feel like stopping :)

Five months after the trailer Chip 'n Dale... err I mean fei and cristal of Shaolin Productions have finished Unity, a Quake 3 team trickjumping video featuring a total of 27 trickers from around the world.

From the readme :
Some of the greatest team tricks you have ever seen. Lead by iT_raTe, many less famous yet highly skilled trickers took up the task of filling in the hole left by Team iT after the dishearting cancelation of "iTeam" which was going be edited by mrks (the demos got leaked, care-level dropped to zero).

Many of these demos shown are high ping (200+) and are some very complex timing, so please apreciate the skill involved, hopefully cristal and I have shown the content in a way that improves the look and feel of Q3 vq3 tricking. There is a balance of weapons and maps, cams and effects, that should please even non Q3 players.

Duration : 17 minutes 05 seconds
Codec : x.264, XviD

Note - The x.264 HD version requires a very good CPU for proper playback due to its high resolution (1280x720). Most people would be better off downloading the x.264 HQ version which looks very good anyway. Download the HD version only if you are sure that your computer can handle it (usually atleast 2.5ghz and higher)

For those who prefer something a little more 'chilled out' than the psy-trance track, there is an alternative available in the same file itself. You can switch to it when using a player like MPC or VLC. (Right click the video, Audio -> 2nd track is how you do it in MPC)

Splash Damage explains how they made the transition from mod's to making commercial games with id Software. They discuss how they first contacted id Software, the mistakes they made during their transition to a real company, and personal skills that helped them form a successful company.

United Kingdom Locki, the SplashDamage leader speaks for most of the video, starting off with their days working on the Q3F mod, transitioning to their work on the Wolfenstein Doom3 multiplayer maps, and their best known accomplishment, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory. For anyone who has followed this group of talented game designers since their days working on the Q3F mod for Quake3, this chat will be very interesting. The video runs a little over an hour.
