I can't actually view this demo, I have x-battle installed but its the latest version. Am I missing a map or something else ?

Probably one of the better demos to surface so far, with both players having control of the map during the game, although when Fox gets it back towards the end he does look formidable.

WP both.

Add the demo file to your x-battle folder in the demo folder.

Run Q4

Go to mods and click on x-battle

once it reboots q4, load console and run demo using playnetdemo.

iTG`ReDeYe No offence but u (or anyone)don´t have to put the demo in the mods(battle) demo-dir and than load the mod before the "playnetdemo"-command. q4base\demos works fine :)
I was surprised for myself first time i played a battle demo and get it to work that way. Thinking about osp-demos in q3 when you have to put the demo in osp/demos and than load the mod :))

I know m8, it was just easier to solve his particular problem simply.

or you could just put the demo in your q4base folder and then play it in any mod by typing "playNetDemo demo.netdemo"

Or you can use Seismovision 3 and just dubbleclick the file.

There is a point in the demo where Fox tries to lower his height coming off the large jumppad by firing the nail gun upwards against the wall... He kinda fails and ends up getting railed by tox after two or so attempts...

It's much easier to actually just fire directly at the wall and move sideways or backwards and come out the top on the opposite side u came in... only needs one nail and has the desired affect of only just clearing the top of the jp...

When I saw this live whilst commentating on the game, I believe what fox actually tried to do was to stop himself coming out all together, so as to avod being railed by tox, as he had already spotted that he took up a position on the walkway opposite.

So in that sense, it worked twice, although tox didnt fall for it. I think it was a pretty clever trick, even if it didnt fully work out.

I dont believe it was a mistake though, as there are far easier ways to change the way you exit the jump pad exit on top.

When I click on the link above to download the .netdemo I get the following error:

I logged in and tried again, same error. As it turns out, I get the same error for every demo I try to DL...whats going on exactly?

Please don't tell me what a 403 is, I know what that is. I don't understand why I'm getting the 403 when everyone else appears to get the file fine.
