i wasnt intrested in sp at all till i watched this looks great, the intro reminds me of a cross between starship troopers and aliens :P

If you like the tenches and squad based SP games, you might give a try on Star Wars: Republic Commando, a very decent SP game, and even the mp player part is enjoyable, but sadly they fucked it up.

Anyway the John Carmack 1h 30min note is also enjoyable after the Q/A section. Funny how he manages to destory the hype of Microsofts and Sonys next gen consoles 1min 50sec into the start of his speech: "The next-gen consoles (ps3/x360) are nice, but all in all they're as powerfull as a high-end PC right now." or something along those lines :).

The SP - part of Quake 4 looks really nice.

I guess the audio from the vid didnt quite catch it, but there was a big 'booooo' when he blew off the q4test question. Well atleast in the area I was standing in.

I always liked to watch intros of games, made me ready for it :).

Probably not in sp anyway, or heavily nerfed. And when you're showing off the game's looks it's better to take your time :o

In that kind of game... I'm not sure, but I think honestly I will go through the singleplayer relatively calmly, playing it a bit like I imagine they would've wanted. Just to get the maximum feel. I mean we have multiplayer for the rollercoaster ride :D

Q4 is the future

Have to say... I didn't like this at all... Looks like halo, but slower (if thats possible)

It looked like Star Wars: Republic Commando to me in a few areas. Especially when they were going aimlessly through those trenches killing one or two stroggs after every new corner they would turn.

I just hope it feels hardcore and intense, the way Call of Duty managed to be in a few excellent moments (Pegasus Bridge <3).

Why don't you just post them all in one go? They've been out for "ages" now already.

I hv downloaded all the quake4 movies posted in esr till now. I hv to say I was disappointed with all of them except the quake4multi.mp4 movie (52 MB) which really owned. All other movies had some noobs wandering about aimlessly. The fatality video was not that great imo.
Will I be missing anything if I give this video a miss??

oh well, beside that this is completely different as it is q4 singleplayer and not multiplayer.... nah u dont miss anything :>

Why the fuck can't they come up with something different?
i'm sick of intros where the stupid ship/helicopter/random air/land/water transport gets shot down by some nanotech/rocket/flying alien/mortar/flak and "you" wake up in the middle of a firefight/destroyed building where your transport crashed/unknown location with "dizzy" sight and a shaking cam.

My 2 cents to Valve, who despite awfully ruining gamers' life with steam, make nice original intros.
