Why? Becaue of the death of the pope? If so: To me the death of the pope doesn't mean anything beyond the given sympathy for someone dying. It's only an abstract truth because I didn't know him. Of course I give my respect to a dying person because it's something that shows the nature of being a human being and he's in my thoughts so to speak. But that's only because he got a lot of media attention and the TV is bursting with special programmes about it. I cannot relate emotionally to this person.

Despite his more unfortunate moves he has done a lot for people I agree. He always stood in for peace. I also think that no good spiritual leader can be totally without controversy.

its an emotional circle. one person is upset, couple of people see them upset, so get upset them selves and so on.

theres a quake in Indonesian and even more recently a Australian rescue helecopter crashed with 9 people suspected dead, yet all i see in the news is the pope, one man, dying. i swear i saw more about Terri Schiavo than the Indonesian earthquake. sodding morons.

the pope was suffering for a long time and christians believe in an eternal afterlife anyway. hey, you mourners should be happy for him. he'll finally be able to hang around with god and all the other old dudes up there.
