i have to say this, i can't keep the secret any longer, after almost eight years... i feel SO guilty... anyway, here goes:

i never played the full version of Heretic, i just played the shareware episode that was free

for this i know i don't deserve to play DooM3, i hope Carmack forgives me someday...

Er, I would've expected you to say doom, or doom2.

Heretic... not really worth punishing for, however if you haven't ever experienced HEXEN... that you should definately fix.

Wasn't heretic a raven game? I don't think THE CARMACK will really be that bothered... it's Quake 4 you won't be allowed to play :)

Heretic 1 rules, it was as really fast, like Doom 1 / 2 :) No wait it was even faster!!! and the weapons were cool. (Magic wand ( basically a fairly slow firing MG)

A Ethreal crossbow (projectile firing (but fast).

Claw (rapid fire MG)

Etc. etc. :)

Yep, great atmosphere! I remember the eery background singing of those priests or something. I liked to play it in a dark room, scary stuff :)
