My Latest Frag video featuring a array of players. This video shows off over 8 months of some of the best shots ever passed through my computer in demo format. Please view the readme and make sure you have installed the codecs before attempting to play this file.

There are 2 Quality modes out

Amazing editing n stuff but actual vid wlda been better with more pro frags and less of the maker. Missing the blue triple rox frag on dm6 and the panicore rocket spree of old. Also wlda been better to name the actual players instead of their aliases e.g. hola is zero4.

But v.well done n e way, love the movie :)

thanks carmac, I mean the majority of my frags were mid rockets, yea there were a few pummels in there that you can say "oh thats boring" but I used them to bring a little bit of humor to the video. Come on, how often do you get a quad pummel run?? :)

My point is that anyone can get mid air rox in publics here n there, its a bit harder when playing a pro. Also there are plenty of new frags but still its prolly the best q3 frag movie we are eva gonna c so wlda been nice with the older frags aswell.

So basically hitting someone who has no control over his actions (after the first bouncer) mid air is less skill if it's not Z4? I know it is hard to get an airrock situation vs Z4 but if you wanna get impressed by that why don't you watch demos where good players work for 3 minutes to get a single frag on him?

The word is "with", not "versus".

This was getting nowhere because apparently, I did not get across that fragmovies are not about showing tactical skills (which would enable you to get more airrocket situations against a good player) but frags. And a double airrocket on ZeRo4 is just as impressive as on b0mb3r if you disregard the context. In fact, if there was no "you killed ZeRo4", the wow-factor would be exactly the same.

well, the ec3 movie by those dutch makers is sure the best ever. amazing effects, such as ingame q3 sound (ever heard that before) and thirdpersonshots which was a new thing as well. That movie showed the way! :)

btw, this one was very entertaining as well, GJ own-age.
I liked the editing and the special effects!

well editing is a very large part of what makes a good movie, much more so than the frags imo. That is how Badge 3 rivals it

actually, the frags on this movie are all great so its not a good example, but my point is: a quake 3 FRAG movie should aim on good action/frags/OMGOMGOMGmoments instead of nice editing because its supposed to show how cool the GAMEPLAY is, not the graphic engine. However, both can be combined to get THE quake movie, which has been proved by own-age and his movie :)

I will not comment on the movie which is still in download, I have not read the comments so as not to spoil my fun but I will comment on one thing.

[PQ3]RogeR, please stop acting like a little child. Last time I asked you why you rate all movies posted on your site you said that you love all Q3 movies. Strangely, some Q3 movies you do rate differently. Mainly the movies that own-age hosts. All your movies get 10s and all own-age's movies are 0s. Would you stop being a childish prick and have at enough dignity to at leasts refrain from rating own-age's movies?

On second thought (or on second viewing) I think that this is the best fragmovie Quake III Arena has ever had. Plus, it raises the bar for other fragmovies extremely high (FDE3 postponed even further? ;).

Well, honestly, after the first view I thought: "Nice, but not really new".

I've seen most of the frags, even made many of them myself, the editing was way better in other movies by own-age himself and the music is in nearly every Quakemovie.

After I read all the comments, I'm going to dl it again and try to see, why it is so well rated. :)

I think the songs are just from the same genre's like many other songs used in movies. I really like this movie, the frags are damn nice, lots of airrockets instead of rail-only sessions, and a great editing. Maybe the editing of Badge 3.0 is better, but I always felt a bit "wohoo, nice gfx but where are the frags" while watching all Badge parts.
It's also hard to do some "new" frags because Q3 has been played for such a long time and nearly every possible frag has already been done. But some airrockets really really impressed me.

Great work own-age, would be nice if more such good movies would appear. Keep up the good work (blabla :P )

Btw: I really liked the 3 airrocket session which was sync'ed with the music. Just great =)

Maybe I should have replied to Secarius, I just wanted to say that all kinds of songs have been used till now, so you can't find songs that haven't been used yet. I didn't critisice own-age's choice of songs, I just wanted to explain why the songs sound so "standard". :)

heh. Ill have to give this an 8.6(vote 9) mainly because I often wanted to skip the "by own-age" parts =) Fortunatly I was rewarded in other scenes. Sorry, but "tEh comeback" and the likes of "defend the flag" point-n-click as well as "i pummel and mg on a space map" didnt add much to the movie =)

people seem to be totally amazed by the ability to change the saturation of a movie and make it look like an acid-trip or something. it's hard enough to read the name that scrolls in and follow the fight of 2 neon-green sarges at the same time, don't try to make my eyes bleed with oversaturation, pseudo-trendy lensflares and horizontal scanlines. it's either a fragmovie or an art-flick like the badge 2&3, both just doesn't work with such a fast game in my opinion.

Well...I just couldn't enjoy the frags as much as I did in FDE for example. He didn't exactly overdo those lensflares and the other things, they just took the focus away from the frag itself. But maybe I'm too slow to watch the hud, the name of the pov&map, a huge low-opacity quad all over the screen and a 1 second flickshot from a guy with shaky aim at the same time.

The badge series does not compare to this imo. Sure the editing is great, but they're quite boring..all the slow-mo sappy prancing around isn't what q3 is about.

own-age did a great job in choosing top notch frags, good music, the quad runs was rage..that's my fave part of the movie. I will definitely be looking forward to more of his work in the future.

maybe its my crappy setup or something becuase EVERY quake movie (only happens with quake movies), my sound is always a few seconds ahead of the audio, or a few seconds behind, no matter what player i use, no matter what settings....

I really liked this one, it mustve been one of the best (or even THE best) fragmovie i have ever seen. I just HAD to watch it twice, why? Because the first time i missed all the action reading all the names at the bottom :P Thats the only remotely annoying thing about this movie, u cant read names and watch airrockets at the same time or at least i can't.

Other then that thumbs up for mr Own Age :P

Hey it's just my opinion, it's your movie :) Ideally I would like to:

- cut some "not so OMG" frags out
- shorten the outro a bit, the filesize can be spent better
- don't do the same frag twice (1st and 3rd person)
- ditch 3rd person views, I prefer 1st person

Only constructive criticism, this movie is going to stay on my HD for sure, it's probably the best I've seen yet!

well one of the things i liked so much of this movie is that own.age shows us the frags from different points of view, giving us a better understanding on how the situation of the frag was like. He even put a camera on a rocket that, shown from 1st person, looks just like a shot where the opponent was going to pass by, and frags. Then, with the camera on the rocket, the frag looks much more amazing. Good job!

yea, all the high quality mirrors got killed. one of the servers put out over 940 gigs of bandwidth in less 5 days...

This is why Files size is crucial when making a video!
