This is a movie made by Mess. Mess is one of Europe's best promode 1on1 players in CPMA (a very popular mod for Quake3, available at promode.org).

This is what Mess has to say about it:
'I made it, because I did not want to shock anyone or something, but I wanted to make people to play more promode. I want to show what promode is all about :).'

So far there is only one mirror and it is being uploaded to www.own-age.com right now. This post will be updated when it is on own-age.com.

The current mirror is from a Polish site, but just right click on "Pobierz plik" and select "Save Target As" to where you would like to save.

And remember... Play More Promode! :)

He send a tidy up and make major request to the admins, but he made a mistake. He didnt select 'Movie' as post type, and this cant be changed so it had to be uploaded again. Hence the shoutout to Lsv.

Try playing him. Since the community doesn't get many LANs very good players get to be 'one of the best' because no one knows who's got the edge.

#9 - mess is one of the top 6 in EU in my opinion, and has finished top 6 in CH-EU.

#12 - mess is a pretty quiet and sound guy

#18 - 2nd link was actually mess' first attempt, and wasn't as well compressed. The smaller one is actually better quality!

As I said in the original thread, nice movie, great work mess :)

Haha, yeah. =) He's so calm and quiet that he rides through half of the country, 9h in the train to a LAN Party, play3 hours and when the crowd starts to play seriously, he goes to sleep =P

FDE2 is a highly produced movie, taking frags from multiple players. This is a movie made in an afternoon of frags by one player. Chalk and Cheese, unfair to compare. It is a good movie in it's own right, but perhaps you didn't read the blurb and expected something it's not.

I knew more or less what to expect. This movie, though, being from one of Europe's best still does not live up to all the hyping about skills and coolness CPM gets. If you take a movie from a single player's pov then, off the top of my head, CLX has better (frag-wise) or at least up to par ones of himself. With all the respect for CLX, he is not considered "top" in Europe...

Thats cuz air rox and stuff are so rare in vq3 that the movies look amazing. Some crazy skill in this i liked it a lot. But i have to agree, nothing beats FDE2 :P

Not a chance, rockets are 25% faster in cpma and the maps encourage aerial combat so airrox are much more common in promode.
