finished MOHAA recently, replayed it for the first time since childhood. I have remembered this game better than it actually is. Very easy (even tho i played on hard difficulty), very short (took me about 6 hours to finish) and movement mechanics are so bad. No weapon recoil so i just picked up MP-40 when i could and spammed everywhere.

oh damn, yeah, i think the t300 is about 300 euro with the 2 pedal set and the t500 is almost 500 euro with the 3 pedal set, so the t500 with 3 pedals for 300 is p good, for the t300 id hesitate a lot more.

my advice if you planning to stick to it is to get the 3 pedals and later get a H shifter. I tried both wheels and both are p good... or at least better than my driving force GT, and my wheel is good enough to enjoy a good sim but tbh the t500 is superior, i think you can also swap wheels from it.

what i am using is the 3 pedals from thrustmaster and they are well built, like, in toy pedals you need to be barefoot to have more accurate movements on your feet cos you dont feel as much resistance but these are heavy and hard enough.

Then the H shifter... well i personally dont like much the thrustmaster one because its a bit expensive for what it is unless you get it all together as an extra. i went for the SHH shifter which is a home made 3dprinted thing and you can swap modes between H pattern and sequential. You can also change the amount of resistance it has. Its quite engaging and i been switching gears like a mad man and it is working like first day. The downside is that you need to wait till the guy finishes it.

started the HoMM series with HoMM 1 back in 1996 or something.

some time later got Heroes 2, was really fun to play, definitely an improvement from the 1st

then my best friend brought me Heroes III, at first the game felt like a slightly polished Heroes 2, but after some weeks of playing, holy fuck, the game was AMAZING.

then tried heroes 4, at first didn't like it but then started to appreciate the fact that it was not like the previous Heroes, so it made it kind of "new & fresh". Can't say i enjoyed H4 more than H3, but it was definitely a decent Heroes.

First version of Heroes V was trash as fuck, H5 only became good after the last expansion, that said, kind of skipped the whole H5 cuz of irl and other games.

played H6, not THAT bad, but lack of content and A LOT of things missing (including creatures etc).

atm enjoying H7 A LOT, i play it with friends/family in hotseat, and i play a bit of the campaign.

I will never go back to HoMM III, game looks so old now, it aged pretty bad, even the HD version. The characters design is so 1998 and some gameplay elements feel old as fuck :>

tbh out of the versions beyond 3, I only tried 4(back then), didn't like it AT ALL.
however I look at 7 and it has mixed reviews, seems mediocre at best. while 3 is universally regarded as one of the best games ever made, still played today(even competitively), it consistently gets a few thousand viewers on twitch - impressive for a game that old.
so, with that said, I'm glad you enjoy 7 but you're definitely an outlier.
lastly idk how you could say homm3 aged badly. it aged like great wine. it looks fabulous tbh, it's not about the pixelcount.(I guess I'm biased in the sense that I notoriously do not care about gfx, at least not in the modern sense, I play mostly old games and enjoy 2D art very much).

I played through 4's campaing and one expansion.
It's absolutely not finnished, unbalanced and broken but there is weird charm in it.
Some animations look goofy as fuk. I remember one scenario where it would be impossible to finish without choosing the right upgrade path. Some units are worthless, some are insane.

But the music and story...
They are finnished. Music is as good if not better at times than homm3 and story is definetely better than homm3.
I read every wall of text the game dropped on me and had NO RAGRETS.

HoMM 5 > HoMM 3 is blasphemy.
Heroes VII > HoMM3 is pure retardation.

Perfect looking 2D sprites can not get old and age badly.

Specifically Super Tetris 3 SNES, I just seem to like the feel and physics a bit more compared to classic NES or GB Tetris.

Just kind of fell into playing it for 10-30 minutes a day last year, usually morning routine with coffees. It's nice to work at a game skill again, lots of depth and room to improve skills and strategy, therefor lots of fun. Something I've really missed in the last 7 or 8 years since Quake bottomed out in my part of the world. Is nice.

Resident Evil 2 Remake is well worth getting, one of the best RE games ever in my judgement and I've played them all.

Even the Deluxe Edition is worth getting and don't get me wrong I hate those money grabbing editions that usually contain fuck all except a few cosmetic stuff but the price-tag is worth it for the optional original soundtrack alone, feels so damn good replaying one of the scenarios but with the original RE2 soundtrack.

I also found it one of the hardest RE games to date, normally you have to conserve ammo, that's a given. But at least in Leon's campaign i saved the majority of my magnum ammo for the final boss which you do and out of the 55 bullets I saved up (keep in mind I collected every last piece of magnum ammo there was and every gun powder I picked up I used all of them to make more magnum ammo over shotgun shells) it took me 45 bullets to down him alongside some other weaponary.

Never played RE, what do you do when you run out of ammo on boss? D:

For the average newbie that can very well happen, if you have even some experience with RE you know to save your ammo as much as you possibly can.

If you want to start off with a Resident Evil game, chronologically Resident Evil 0 is the very first game of the series and it's a damn good game. Problem is though that it's one of the hardest for a newbie to play since it's the only RE game which involves controlling two characters at the same time and inventory management is hell for a newcomer.

I'd say pick up Resident Evil 1 Remastered on Steam and once you finish it multiple times then pick up RE0 since it takes place before RE1.

From then on I guess it's up to you, but chronologically speaking in the main timeline it goes with 0, 1, 2, 3, Code Veronica X, 4, Revelations 1, 5, Revelations 2, 6 (Don't play 6 it's terrible) and then 7.

If you want, you can play the original RE2 on Dolphin Emulator (I'm assuming your pc is good enough to run it, if you can run anything from 2010 onwards then you'll be able to run it no problem). Dolphin Emulator if you don't know is a GameCube emulator and you'll find RE2, RE3 and Code Veronica X on it to play.

I'm afraid I would be completely afraid of playing Resident Evil :`D

Windows 10 is literally spiware. Also, it's more laggy than windows 7 and that can't be fixed (can't disable aero, that adds input lags, and several other programs)

Stick with 7 for as long as you can, it's downhill from there. Unfortunately most new mobos/cpus don't support 7 anymore.

The Remake was good, what did u not like about it?

A lot of things:

- The action part is completely fucked up. Whether you need one shot or two magazines to kill a zombie is decided by rng rolls. I know in RE2 there was a luck factor too, but killing things was satisfying. Not here. Sooner or later you'll just clear areas by getting zombies to the ground and then stab them a million times with a knife. Feels like a chore.

- The stealth part is also bad. Once you realize the best solution is to avoid everything, the game becomes a joke. Lurkers are harmless and zombies can only hurt you if youre sloppy.

- Boss fights are, without exceptions, ring around the rosey. Whether its William or Mr. X, its the same over and over.

- Poor variety of enemies. Where are the spiders and moths? 70 reskins of zombies that make the Grudge throat sounds dont cut it.

- The game lets you cheese too much. Killing through fences, from distance, getting things stuck behind objects, all of those kill any little atmosphere the game otherwise wouldve had.

- Graphics. It looks good, it runs smooth and the light/dark mechanics works well. But why the fuck do all RE games since RE4 have to have that brown - grey filter? If you compare it to the cancelled RE2 Reborn, video here, it just looks ... dull.

- Not completely sure about this one, but it feels you can only die when already in "danger". Even on hardcore.

- Finally, a lot of areas felt empty and hollow. No enemies, no scares.

There are also things to like about this remake, but those are mere details if the atmophere doesnt work.

The zombies pissed me off at first but then I got gud and they wern't as bad (a quick shot to the face as you're running past them prevents them from lunging at you" didn't overly bother me the amount of shots it took to kill them, also the knifing didn't bother me because it reminded me of RE4 and I loved that aspect.

The stealth part is just the same as pretty much most of the older RE games, survival horror for a reason. I also found the lickers at least at first to be brutal compared to the zombies.

I found the boss fights very fun, especially the birkin fight after the chess puzzle (throwback to Code Veronica ftw).

Didn't really miss the spiders, I'm glad there wern't any moths because I hated those things.

It lets you cheese just as much as any other RE game imo, never found it to be a bad thing tbh.

You can turn that shitty filter off, I make it a habit to turn off any sort of film grain option in the majority of games that I play, heck I even modded it out of RE4 lol.

It's your opinion though but I thought it was a very good remake, I only wished there was more interaction with Leon and Claire like in the original. Despite what people say, I thought MR.X was a great addition to the game especially on your first playthrough.

I have been playing The Mean Greens. So nice looking and the fps game play keeps me coming back. totally unique maps and just surreal music.

I was worried that it was going to turn out garbage because a lot of games do nowadays but hearing that they've completely scrapped the original game for something entirely new shows dedication in hopefully giving the fans what they want and more.

Yeah, I played metroid fusion, it is a good game, but personally I am a big fan of super metroid, it is just such a great compilation of gameplay, music and monsters and has also a look for a more mature audience ... there is also metroidconstruction with romhacks for the really hardcore ... thanks for the hollow knight tip, I have only seen some trailers of it, I will take a closer look
