Avoid like the plague unless you have a very low sens.

Only cloth pad I ever had trouble stopping the mouse from moving on, mind you it was the old grey/blue one.

Since "low" and "high" sens is relative, I'll mention some numbers instead.

I have no issues stopping the mouse on both a new Puretrak Talent (2015) and an old Puretrak Talent (2009/2010). I'm using a Microsoft WMO and a IME3.0, both with Tigergaming 1mm PTFE feet.

The only issues I've had with the pad is that (like with all other cloth pads), it becomes very sluggish to move the mouse around during the most humid of summer days in NW Britain. During the summer I often opt to use my Artisan Hayate Otsu instead.

That might possible be a problem for you since you're from a much warmer continent? You might be interested in the skinnerpad!

Nah currently living in the south east of England, and yeah, I play with about twice your sensitivity though you use accel and I can't be arsed to figure out what averaged sens value you used, as my calcs would most likely be way off.

For the sake of keeping things consistent and for reference I use: 18-22cm/360 depending on the setup I'm using in quake, 25-28 for medium paced games, and something between 29-36 if I played CS.

In quake to get the puretrak to not "hover" when I try to stop, I needed something around 28cm/360 when with a pad like the goliathus control that was arguably just as statically smooth if not smoother than the puretrak, but had a bit of higher friction when moving allowed me to to flick just fine with my regular setup.

Kuwait actually keeps pads dry for the most part, most people don't leave airconditioned rooms, but yeah, outside in the summer it's going to be silly humid, though the autumn is hot and dry, it's just dry dusty summer, fuck the sun....

What's the difference between the old and new Talent (apart from the colour)?

I have been trying like 15 mousepads over the last 6 months and in the end I just came back to my Qck+. The pad just has the right amount of friction and thickness. Why did you move away from that one?

Puretrak, logitech, Xtrfy are all just too smooth, the mouse wants to keep going instead of doing a proper hard stop when you want it too. However, build quality of these pads is generally better than the Qck+ but then again, that one is dirt cheap anyway.

I don't think it will fit your requirements, but I have a recommendation for the SS Dex, and apart from the stupid bottom that slides everywhere (but I created a solution for that), the surface really is fantastic. I kept having the replace and clean mousepads over and over, so decided to buy something more durable, and it's really been living up to the hype of being durable and easy to clean. Had it about 2 years now, still as good as the day I bought it. If it was a QcK+ I probably would have had to replace it by now.

QcK Heavy, been using it for years and it never lets me down. The thickness gives you more stoppage than a thinner pad since it makes the skates grip into the pad if you put pressure on the mouse. It's very different to a QcK+
