Never broke a mouse cable in my life, only way I've fucked a mouse up is spilling a cup of tea on it.

No idea how people manage to fuck their cables up.

Had the G Pro since release and it's been fine.

Older logi mice (i.e. mx518) were well known for cable faults, a couple months of heavy use and moving the mouse would cause disconnect/reconnect.

I've had logitech since the mx300 / 310 / 500 / 518 - shit, even the dual optical ones they brought out and they all lasted well over a couple of years.

Guess a lot of people don't know how to look after their gizmos and gadgets. :(

Quite the opposite, it's the only brand of mouse I've ever experienced the issue(s) with. Every other mouse I've owned is still in full working condition, nothing to do with looking after them badly

Interesting though, I've never damaged a cable or had any usb issues with any of the mice and brands throughout the years.

So unless you've had dodgy ones, I really dunno.

Only time I got myself a faulty cable on a Logitech was when I layed the cable in a bad spot/corner and the movement made it break the cord or pull the internal connector in my mouse.

Yeah, I can understand friction or the accidental tug without knowing it's taken a bit of a hard pull that can fuck it up.

Honestly though, especially with all of these braided cables it's nearly impossible to break imho.

Unless you're using like 50cm/360 and have to sweep the mouse like a motherfucker which will cause massive cable abrasion.

This happens when the cable folds too much between an object, gets obstructed or is rolled up improperly. Saw this happen at friends, and usually spalking the area of the cable with a toothpick and covering it with tape solves the problem. But this depends on where the breaking/folding happened. If it's internal or close to the usb-plug or mouse than it requires RMA or replacing cable (which is easy, but voids warranty).

Actually, early logitech G mice had this 'tough' braiding which made the cable prone to breaking/folding due to immobility, but they have softened up more recently, lessening the chances of breakage.

I understand it. Nothing wrong with getting some sexual joy out of the mouse cord but asphyxiation is a serious past time. Dont david caradine yourself!

Most probably another EC1A as you already know.

Logitech G403 is another decent option but I don't think it's big enough for your liking.

My Evo CL had a sensor malfunction and got the EC1-A instead. It's amazing.

been playing with rival 310 and its been sick. shape is gonna be a little smaller than ec1 though i think.

Just get yourself a G403. It'll suit your needs after the adaptation time.

But yeah, EC1-a is the same mouse, so if you can't be bothered by getting used to something else, just get his one.
