i use 1400 dpi on 1.3 ... but that isnt 20/360 ...more like 15/180

Are you sure it's 0.012 accel for cypher, not 0.12? Because I use 0.012 myself... but at 1600 DPI. So basically 16 times more accel than he does :O
0.012 with 400DPI is almost nothing?

Edit: Just tested it ingame and 0.012 accel with 400DPI really is barely noticeable. Or does he maybe use 0.012 in povohat's? That would make morse sense since then it would be equivalent to 0.048 in-game which would still be very little accel but at least a noticeable amount.

Yes, 0.012 is insignificant, but unless I am mistaken, povohat's should be the same as QL's.

you are mixing some stuff and do weird comparisons.
what means "0.79 = 7.9" ?

for the last Cypher twitch streams:
@800 dpi 0.54 (early days)
@400 dpi 0.79 and later 0.84

you mutliply all with 5 to get the new QC and regular QL sens.

=> @800 dpi 0.54 x 5 = 2.70
=> @400 dpi 0.79 x 5 = 3.95
=> @400 dpi 0.84 x 5 = 4.20

You just need to find a setting in which you feels good, not because "he use this" he use that" ...

you can see a range/pattern sometimes and this can give an indicator at what would be most effective or what's not

I'm not interested in pro settings because I want to copy them.
Which wouldn't make any sense to begin with, because there are huge differences between what different pros use... who's settings would you copy? Use clawz settings because he won Qcon and then switch to different settings once someone beats clawz?

I like to know what pros use because it gives me a rough idea what kind of settings can work effectively.
Especially since I started using accel somewhat recently and looking at pro's settings gave me a better idea what kind of sens/accel combinations make sense.

"Just use what feels good to you" obviously isn't bad advice, but at the same time what's feels good to you is most likely gonna be whatever you're used to. And it's definitely possible to get used to sub-optimal settings. Once you get used to something, you'll initially do worse if you change the settings, even tho those new settings might work better for you if you stick with them for a while.

Good example for this is how most players that are new to FPS games use way too high of a sens and when experienced players tell them 5cm/360 probably isn't optimal, a lot of them have a hard time adjusting to a higher sensitivity because they have completely change the way they aim. But once they do that, they'll be a lot more consistent and their aim will get way better than it could ever have gotten with that insanely high sens they used to use.
Thing is just, that without other people telling them and without looking at what good players use and trying it themselfs, most players would never move away from their 5cm/360 senses, since that's what they're already used to and anything else doesn't feel good

So basically I looked at pro player's settings to avoid having the same thing happen to me when it comes to the amount of accel I use.
I used the pro's settings as a rough guide line, I tried some of the settings, tested which of them works best for me and then tweaked it from there.
It also saved a lot of time, using "battle proven" settings if you will rather than starting from zero and slowly adding more and more accel, then chance sens, adjust accel accordingly, and doing it over and over till I find something that works.

Besides, what's wrong with just being curious?
Even now that I figured out my own settings and will stick with them, I still find it interesting to see what other players are using.
Not because I want to copy the settings, simply because I find it interesting how different the stuff players use and do well with can be.

knowing the average of all pro players cm\360 setup is an important information , especially for beginner.

CS average 40cm ?

QL 30cm

QC 20ish cm?

It tells you that sensitivity is depended upon the game and gives you a base to find your own setup from.

Watching reviewers today using 5cm\360 in theyr awesome high dpi mouse makes me want to puke .

And so many beginners are frustrated about theyr aims , probably using stupidly high sens also .

Also , trying other pro`s setup can be fun, even tho you just end up in sensitivity hell yourself.

Well, according to this thread; Tox uses 20cm/360 which I use for years now. Sweet spot for if you want to be mobile and still hit a lot of stuff close, mid and long range. This ofcourse if you don't want to add accel.

Just stick to something you feel comfortable with which allows you to not get compromised in any situation (so not too high or too low sens) and practice hard.

Let's hope http://ProSettings.net adds a QC section ;)
