My guess is they will be equal or slightly lower than DOOM's system requirements.

DOOM uses id tech 6, QC uses a hybrid of id tech 6 and Saber Engine and aims to support "120 hz" gameplay...

I think for stable 120+ fps you want to have a GTX 970 or better.

Don't know. But if you keep what Tim Willits said in mind it will also be a f2p shooter because of the international fans Quake has. I think they will keep the requirements low enough for people to enjoy with lesser systems in general.

The game doesn't look all too demanding from what I've seen in video's so far graphic wise. But it all comes down on optimalization.

At PAX they were running it on a Ryzen 7 1800x CPU, XFX RX 480 GPU (8GB), 16GB RAM. Personally, I will be on a 7700K and 1080Ti :)

- i5 or 4 cores will be enough - or any cpu from 2011 onwards. (~i5-2500k)
- 8gb ram max.
- my guess on GPU: a current RX470 4GB (=170€) will be easily enough for 1080p, 120 fps and high details. older gpus like gtx780 (2013) will run it too on high details that way.

System requierements will be pretty much the same as OW have (my guess) so if you still whine about Asylum - cant play, 60 fps then is a good damn time to buy a new computer.

i'll get 8 more GB of DDR4 RAM soon (2x 4GB), so in total i'm going to have 16GB (4x 4GB) of DDR4.

i'll keep my current i5-6500 CPU (3.2GHz x4 cores, up to 3.6GHz with turboboost)

Your comp is good enough to run 200 fps with low settings imo. You have pretty much the same comp as me only difference is that im using 32gb Kingston HyperX ram and Hyperx savage 256 ssd disk, still i can get 200fps in overwatch with all low - med settings and I think QC will have simillar requierements or even lower as OW engine is a bit fucked up - you need really good comp for playable fps

If it's anything like Doom then concentrate on the GPU not the CPU, I run Doom on ultra settings and get 170+ fps stable.

saber has no recent release so we don't know how optimized it is. i'm assuming pretty well, the pax demos ran at 144hz

if you ask nvc it's 1080TI, 32gb ram and top of the line i7.

if you want to compete that is, if you don't want to then it's fine to not spend 3 monthly incomes on hardware.

You need over 1000 FPS in order to compete.
