I would just reinstall everything. that's very odd...that or imessage Yakumo on here, he knows just about EVERYTHING to do with configs visuals etc.

looks like a custom hud gone wrong, go back to default.

make sure r_debugFontAtlas is 0 also.

I know this sounds like a stupid question, but how would i make sure its at 0? I also reset all my hud settings, but that didn't help.

just drop the console down ( key to the left of 1 normally, top left of keyboard) and type "r_debugf" and then hit tab and it will autocomplete the rest, hit enter and it will spit out what it's currently set to.

if it's not 0 then do the same as above again, but add a space and 1 before hitting enter.

I did say remove custom huds.

Maybe he removed them then Steam Cloud restored them?

It did not restore huds for me when I reinstalled my machine a couple of weeks ago, (but maybe it did from him).

Ah hell, i give up, i never installed a custom hud in the first place and made sure everything was default, still didnt work, i have no idea what the problem is and i dont know if it will ever be solved

The only other thing I could see is that your game files are corrupted. Verify the game cache integrity.

can you just go in settings menu and select one of the default (Large or Small, i think) HUDs?

flashsoul, checked integrity and every file was verified, and i set the hud to large and small, and the large stopped the zeroes on the left side but nothing else, i really dont know wth the problem is at this point

2, Remove everything Quakelive related and delete all the files too from everywhere.
3, Disable steam cloud
4 install QL
5, If everything fails, perhaps Teamviewer and somebody form here or me will take a look

Looks to me like there is an invalid menudef.h file in either "Quake Live/baseq3/ui" or "Quake Live/<steamid>/baseq3/ui", most likely incorrectly packaged with a custom HUD or workshop item.

Since you say you're not using a custom HUD, make sure that you have no baseq3/ui folder, delete it if one does exist.

If they came with a workshop item they will be in \SteamApps\workshop\content\282440\
