well played portugal, their defence and counter-strikes were very good actually. They deserved to win, i'm happy for CR7.

weird match tho, so much bad luck/ occasions on both sides, CR7 out of the match at the beginning, goal by a strong and tall black dude, unexpected even tho he played a really good match on its own (can you remind me his name pls ?)
also not as much spectacular as FRA - GER, because the portugeses played very defensively 80% of the match, which worked well actually. And yeah, again, portugal won with only 1 goal and after a very long match, they were on the right side of the bracket, but france didn't have to play spain or italy, so both portugal and france were a bit lucky if you take that into consideration.

i was very sad for france, because it's basically a new generation of players, and they played well the entiere euro, they deserved to win as much as portugal. But it's soccer, anything can happen. And again well played portugal, and CR7 must be really happy now.

I hope FRANCE will be even stronger at the next world cup, i'm looking forward to it.

That tackle on Ronaldo tho. Payet did it professionally ofc, and referee was helping the hosts (as usual) so nobody reacted. In any other game, such tackle would earn Payet a quick red - it's one of most dangerous attacks in football, the knees are akin to holy grails for footballers. Curiously only Ronaldo was "gifted" with such challenge from a French player, nobody else. Somebody will say it was an accident. It was not.

There's a long-standing tradition of elimination of key players on the pitch by the use of foul play, it was employed during many games. Portugal had a huge drop in morale after Ronaldo was sent off - only to pick up the pace in extra time where they actually looked better physically than France.

Eder was inserted on the pitch for a reason, when you have tall, black, fast guys in enemy team who overtake your players and are very strong physically, you counter them with your own black dude who's strong, tall and swift himself. Just look at how many free kicks Eder earned for Portugal. And that goal. Damn that was a fireball.

Pepe is rightly a man of the match IMO, he had one angry scuffle in his own goal area once, but was extremely docile and professional during the entire match. Quite an achievement for naughty hothead who frequently rages and attacks other players. His defense was also almost spot on.
