they are probably better then all pioneer dj headphones, pioneer just charge a stupid amount of money just for the name, and they are made to make pioneer mixers sound good, which sound bad in the first place

i'll see how good the isolation is while surrounded by 40,000 watts and how good the bass really is for mixing music with actual bass, you cannot be more then 2 tenths off on the beat sync or the kick drum will sound warppy

the only other good headphones in the world are AKG headphones, but they never actually have the all in 1 solution of looks, sound, steal head strape, detachable cable

so you have to re-engineer most tracks you buy so you can mix them proper and EQ them correct

check out sonarworks headphone calibration software, game changer in the music prod. biz... you can buy headphones directly from them that are pre calibrated, which means you get max 1db peaks on a totaly flat frequency response, which even the expensive studio sets dont achieve...

from now on, buying headphones that arent precalibrated by them is just stupid silly, y`know

I've been mixing and producing stuff for several years now, been through loads of headphones but Focal Spirit Professional's are the best I've used, lots of clarity and they are very very neutral

what kind of audio interface do you use? i sold my focusrite saffire and use a presonus audiobox usb now... but i feel they don't sound as good as the focusrite.... also did you ever use some beyerdynamic headphones? if yes... how do they compare to the focal spirit ones?

had focusrite presonus and m-audio interfaces in the past, all horrible in their own ways (sound/drivers/lag) now use exclusively RME stuff
the babyface/fireface is absolutely superb in every way.

bought razer kraken pro 7.1 a while ago, played a couple of songs, nearly died how bad it was. crunch cacophonic chaos, worst bullshit ever. sold it the next day and bought a sennheiser. razer + sound = never again.

they would be shit if you try and convert 2 channels to 7.1 and add the lame 3d surround sound effect

the best headphones money can buy sony mdr v150 = £12 retail and good for anything from production, mixing, mobile phones, leaving them on the bus and not cryng later when you buy some more

dj in the name is more then just foldable headphones especially if they cost £150 new

they have to live upto the dj part and isolate you and maintain a good sound up loud when your on a main stege, so you can beat match and EQ before you start your mix

You can't hear more than 60 FPS anyway.

i'll find out with ease, my flat is like keeping it british, like proper clubs with 12" subs either side for monitors



a pair of £150 dj headphones have to block out most audio from the monitors, so you can monitor the next track in the headphones without playing through the master

albeit, d&b aint big enough to fill up motion anymore, and there are no hardcore events left in bristol, so masters of hardcore have to do a world tour there soon instead of some crusty little o2 academy

decibels good when you have gain up max on a mixer channel and the master, and headphone all at the same time

isolation, it could be better but its enough

bass could be better, its easy to distort things when up above the 1st notch on a mixer

no left or right signs on either side, which is good, different hardware ends up mess up when using XLR/RCA together
