Guys, please help sending quake live players to quakecon. Players who actually cannot afford to go. I am talking about players like pavel, baSe, clawz...you name 'em. Not some guy from SWEDEN who is busy with kids anyways.

It's like one salary for swedistan... Between citizens of Moscow also have big salaries. It's 1200-3000euros (atleast 1-2 year ago), so no big deal too. Different situation in different locations of Russia (expect St.Peterburg). Guys from Ukraine, Belarus strugle with 200-400 euro salaries. Same in Lithuania - 350-400euro. So It's like 1 year payment to travel to Qcon.

well, if you google for "average salary in moscow", you might found out that it was like 1300$ in 2014 ($ was ~30 roubles). now 1$ costs around 70 roubles, so it's more like 800$ in the most favorable case

plenty of ppl help noobs around (I do too) and the smaller the community becomes the more "friendlier" it is. Already, ql is much more friendlier than it was a few years before.

btw when u see a noob trying to duel, is it really at his best interest to help him (give him basic advice and a pat at his back)? I mean is it really at his best interest to spend countless of hours being raped online for ur entertainment for probably few months, in order to have fun after, as part of a small community?? In the EU this may be the case because you guys have a much more supportive community but this is not the case in NA. It hasn't been for many years actually. It's unfortunate.
