For those that don't know about what you are referencing,

Why do you feel aversion towards the people from ESReality?

I don't visit that site since a few years. Already in Q4 times there were mainly a bunch of idiots, that besides their computer don't have much to do and are losers in normal life. They speak about different players in a provocative way. And there they sit, a band of trolls typing shit with their keyboards the whole day and feeling happy because of it. Since a long time already I try to get on their nerves however I can. They also flame polish people. Too bad they're not aware of the fact, that if they would come to where I live in Poland, the kids from primary school nr. 4 wouldn't let them leave the street with their shoes and cellphones :D, yet they are so resourceful and life experienced :( ohlawd :ASdasd.

Claiming this was his last word on the matter is utterly wrong. Years after this statement he pretty much turned 180 and said he could actualy see the love of the community here on esr and was gratefull abour it. Plus said he wanted to take back this very same words. After he retired he adopted the <3 as a bind takeing it from this site!

Of course how a "pro" views a public place where he is one of the topics of the convo can be kind of a rollercoaster expecially if the person is of young age. But make it seem he is still spitefull of the entirety of this website is a false accusation.

i think he did that statement from a thorin grilled interview. Sorry for the rambling n poor grammar ive been awake for 40 hrs lol

While he said he changed his mind, his actions show the opposite. In actuality Avek does not care about the community in the slightest, if not straight up hates it as he stated before.

After all I can't recall avek posting a single time here, or being in twitch once or being known for at least lurking, so avek isn't a part of ESR (the online community) to begin with.

Also avek has never contributed anything to a single event, tournament or anything regarding Quake or the community. I mean, he could at least have used his drug money to fund an invitational or something, or written a guide or stream, but nope.

Fatality, fazz, cooller, cypher, etc. etc., every former pro has contributed to the community in some way or another, all except avek.

U r skipping a logical passage, the lack of his presence just says he needs to keep the distance from the game, not why that happens. He said in iinterviews in the past he needed time off because he basically needed to improve his life skills outside of quake. So he tries to keep the distance coz he fears he would get involved too much. Also he did some things here n there.. frankly i got more out of his ztn vs ins on stermytv than i got from strenx, cypher, cooller, fatality and more combined, in terms of quality of the content. He doesnt have the initiative to do something on his own for whatever reason (which can be viewed as lack of skills/hardware or whathaveyou), but he chimed in here n there in the past. Also if casting on lan coming up with hilarious shit has no entertainment value i dont know what to tell u. This said it isnt like i wanna get people to donate, because i dont know the situation well enough. Just seems to me urs is a faulty argument.

You can't recall, and that's only your fault, because Avek posted here and he was always polite and kind and also very informative. I recall a long wall of text from him speaking about what makes the difference between a good player and a champion.
It was a very good point of view, basically he said all top players do pretty much the same things, the main changing factor is self confidence and willness, to him.

Anyway you're very biased against him in how you don't consider

1- he's not even close to a good english speaker
2-no pro posts or used to post regularly here, except maybe fazz; where's the native speaker Rapha, Dahang, Fatal1ty, where are Cooller, Evil, Killsen, Cypher? Do you hate all of them, too, for not speaking there? And why should they even? To take part in plame wars?

3- giving back anything to the community is not the typical attitude of quake pros; and somehow i don't see you flaming at Tresh for never giving back anything or talking here... and he's the richest quake player ever, he could easily throw in some hundreds thousands dollars for a tourney or two.

The emphasis is on the shame of asking money to strangers on the internet because your efforts werent enough, not on the shame of lowering oneself to "our" lower standards. I talked to the people involved, and the situation is pretty shitty. I think if he was from a different country or place, most of this would not have happened. He would probably have gotten a fair judgment and all will be over.

Details can't be stated publicly, and if you want to help you can learn the details but they have to stay private. This is half of a doom sentence as obviously people would like to know what they are asked to support. Fact is, he needs to get as much support as possible from all possible sources, and nobody could come up with a better idea than this.

Yes I know he is guilty, and yes I am going to put money for this. Thing is, as much as I think he's an idiot for what he's done and he should pay for it, I also learned how fucked up the way they are treating him is, and totally reject the idea that locking him for so many years can be of any help. Things sound completely out of proportion.

Of course my bias is I've known him for some time and believe what he tells me. He could be telling me half truths or lies. But I don't think it's the case. We discussed many times an interview where he would tell the full story to everyone, but since the court is still going talking about it publicly is a no go.

To be clear, I think this is a very personal thing to jump on. Unlike many things where if you love the game it's a no brainer, here the matter is much more complicated, and has to deal with morality and trust in the system he's in. I totally understand people who do not want to help and see this from a distant pov.

What makes things worse is that the details of what he did exactly and how exactly they want to punish him are not public. So if you are in doubt, ask twister ins or avek about it.

That's the way drug penalties work. UK sentences for dealing (and large quantities found at your house in a raid = dealer):
coke, MDMA, heroin, meth = up to life in prison
cannabis or steroids = up to 14 years

People make the decision to commit crimes accepting the risk they might get caught. There's young people all over the world ruining their lives by doing stupid stuff & getting arrested. I don't see why you endorse av3k getting a get out of jail free card just because you like him playing quake while many others are left to rot

Not neccesseraly to get away but most likely just to recieve fair justice.
My wild guess is that avek's "friends" with whom he was doing business are trying to put things in a way that avek is the organiser and responsible for everything so he gets maxmimum penalty while others could even get away without real time in prison. Pretty common situation in such "business".

Here in France you are not allowed to ask for donations to pay a sanction. I don't know about money to go out of jail since there is nothing like that in France. This dude gave a lot of his young years to the game and gave us many moments that became timeless, now he has a big problem and some of the things said in this thread are truly sad and devoid of the minimum empathy.

Let's assume all but $10k of that was actually paid. Then he paid 10% tax (tournament/lottery tax in Poland), that gives him $55k. Add to that years of salary from SG (nothing official but I read on ESR they were paying him and Cypher �500 each for like 3 years?), I would say $20k. So let's assume he made $75k until 2012 while still living with his parents.

In the time he was active, average monthly pay in Poland went up from $600 to $750. I googled up two surveys in his city and to this day they make below $500. (all numbers after tax)

So yeah, what he made in 6 years was what his neighbors make in first 12 after finishing their education.

(It looks even better for Cypher, for him each tournament win was a 3+ year Belarussian salary)

That doesn't make those guys rich by any standard. I'm just correcting your maths.

3. once again you did not cover anything related. while his normal working pals may earn the same money in 12 years, in reality they need much more time, because they are forced to spend their earnings. This may be not true for every case, but its important factor. Av3k didnt have to spend a dime from his winnings.

I dont know many people in their 20s who can afford an apartment without a loan. Thats rather rich in my eyes. True problem lies in simple semantics - what does rich mean? Because obviously hes got more wealth than most of Poles in his age.

Ok, so let's assume a person PMs ins or memento_mori and finds out if it's for bail, to pay the judicial system off, to buy more drugs to pay debts, to pay drug kingpins off or whatever it is.

This doesn't tell me what he was involved in before - did he sell weed or did he sell meth, did he sell to children or men, did he carry and sell guns or not. Also, did he take initiative, or just get swept into a drug operation.

Doubt even ins and memento know the details, and if they did, how could we know they weren't lied to by av3k, who at this point has all the reasons in the world to lie if that could possibly help him.

This is not to say I think that av3k deserves what he's getting, it's quite likely he's not, especially if he was merely selling weed and nothing else. However, how could anyone donate without knowing all those details.

Weltschmerz' argument is: A hasn't been proven to be true, thus the consequence B which comes from A is not relevant yet.

Of course, the obvious counter-argument is: I think it's more likely for A to be true than not to be true, so we should discuss the consequence of A, which is therefore likely relevant, namely B.

Summing it up, it's a matter of your personal belief in whether A is true or not. When you believe that A is a true, you're making an assumption, not relying on a fact.

That's my point, it isn't complex.

But because people want to believe that everyone has motives behind everything, he won't admit that you could just be a logical human being and said "if A, then B". He must believe you predict A. You're being too abstract for him. It somehow becomes difficult, or complex to comprehend, despite the fact that it's incredibly simple.

Because what he believes humans do is the norm, and just thinking logically isn't part of it.

I'm agreeing with you, but I'm saying that you shouldn't find his behaviour unexpected or particularly stupid.

It's just good old anti-intellectualism.

It's not that they don't understand logic, it's that they only understand it in a familiar setting (like using it to go from an implication you believe as a premise into a conclusion). It's a very common thing.

On esr/quake... not so much.
People have this extremely skewed view of me ever since I tried to explain how the netcode influences the game.

Perhaps partly because a lot of them never understood me, and I get frustrated when I fail to explain simple stuff in written text quite easily. (as I hate to write stuff down... I'm much better just talking about things)

For the sake of completeness, if a premise of an implication is meant to be a mere premise or an assumption depends on the context. The so called premise might even be an assertion. Example.

A: He did leave the house.
B: Well, if he left the house we might want to follow him.

"If then" is logically an implication but otherwise also a figure of speech. Where the context determines if the premise is understood to be true, to be false or neither.

And no, I didn't pretend anything. I just told him that it was pretty obvious that the poster assumed the premise to be true, also given the context. Then told him that this assumption doesn't hold water. And finally told him how to take action in the absence of definite knowledge about the premise. Commonly known as taking a risk or not.

There was a logic behind everything I said. Just not the superficial, purely formal and stupid one that, content wise, didn't contribute anything to anything.

As already said, the most useless sideline "discussion" ever. Total waste of time even as I speak.

Edit: Just to be sure, that last sentence didn't go against you. Once I allowed the shit to snowball there's somewhat of an obligation of course.

What exactly does quake community mean for you? If this was a thread about a LAN fundraiser you would see nothing but enthusiasm and I'm sure plenty of people would be happy to pledge a bit of money to make it happen. It's a quake community not a legal charity and although av3k was a good player and personality he wasn't himself really part of the quake community that we have here. I'm not sure why you're getting so frustrated about it. The only attitude I see here is coming from you to be quite honest.

but yeah, the situation sucks. Kinda weird how the reactions you get when asking to get someone else out of prison are worse than the ones you get when you ask for money to go play videogaems in other countries. On the other hand, the "brought this upon yourself" argument is probably a much more valid one in this situation.

Anyway, if he really exhausted all other sources already, the required amount probably is way too big for esr to even make a dent. As in, 5-digits big.

If information about legal proceedings that could impact the proceedings is revealed, I think this is enough grounds for censoring this information.

Let's try to look at this impartial.

Any investment is usually done with contracts. Some kind of official documentation, confirmation, signed by the ones involved. If it is a donation a receipt for that is common. At least when it comes to a significant sum. This allows for backtracking for the investor. But also in case something doesn't turn out as intended. Let's not forget that nowadays all financial transactions can be monitored and traced - for those who bypass them do it for their own reasons at their own risk.

So this is some form of fundraising, by which nowadays there are standards where you publish, what you want to achieve, how the gathered ressources are being used, and so on. Specific goals, as in a certain fixed amount of money. This is not being shared here, but only in private messages on ESReality. av3k did not just use 'harsh words towards us', whoever that 'us' is, as I did not feel addressed back then and I doubt you would have. By the sounds of things if he has committed the alleged crime then the money can be for 3 things.

1. Proceeds of crime, he has to pay back some of the money which in the eyes of rich, snobby bastards is there 'hard earned tax money' that he has gained through unsavoury means.

2. Some sort of legal defence of solicitor situation where he cannot mount a strong enough defence for the situation he is in, court is an expensive long haul, duty lawyer sometimes just don't cut it.

3. Bribe his way outta there. Corrupt systems.

I can see both sides to the story, on one hand you have the people who believe he should be In jail for the alleged offences he has committed, but for all we know he could of been setup and is being blackmailed himself, or he could be the innocent party. Why do any of you nerds care how someone makes there money? Makes no bearing of difference to your life no matter how much you tell yourself it does. There are bankers and politicians bleeding every single one of our country's dry for millions every week but because they wear suits and act civil nobody seems to care.

On the other hand I can see why he asked for help, he and all of us know that he was a well liked player and has a fan base amongst the community, he may not have anyone else to turn to, and he thought the one piece of solidarity (by the sounds of things) in his chaotic life might be able to do something to help him. End of the day do you guys really think if he wasn't at rock bottom he would come to this community for support? I don't think so, especially if he was some sort of gangster. He clearly mustn't have a pot to piss in if he needs money from total strangers, I made a silly comment on this post myself but it doesent change the fact that I don't believe he should be written off simply because we don't know him personally. If I had money i would help him myself but I simply don't, got a $800 fine today...

Jokes aside... Av3k is really a nice guy from the little bits I know it. You can't beat this feeling that I have with people. He is a bit intimidating in some ways. I mean mostly out of respect, when I met av3k online, it was always a big moment for me, because of my own love for the game (quake) and the legend that was standing in front of me.

That all beeing said, he's a true gentleman. He's never had a bad or misplaced word as far as I've listened or heard.

I like this guy, I kept playing csgo some times with him and I hope to keep doing so. I'm not really shiny in terms of monies and shit right now and I'm also a bit reluctant to give away money to a purpose that is so very unclear at the moment. But I want him to know if he reads those lines that he has my entire support and respect.

He hasn't killed anyone for god's sake. Everyone makes mistakes and it's entirely relative wether you'd do the same mistakes - or even worse - if you were in his shoes (bad pun unintended). I'm not perfect either, none of us are. Not everyone can afford to be a saint either. This is life.

Av3k, whatever your sins were, I know you wish things couldve gone differently. Good luck and take some comfort in knowing that there are people who can understand misteps.

Av3k is the kind of guy who would talk to me in QL pm's out of nowhere to give me tips on how to get better and improve my game skills. I'll never forget that.

I think some ppl need to be reminded: this person was involved in serious criminal activity. A shitton of drugs(more than just weed, I'd have no prob with that as it shouldn't be illegal in the first place), a shitton of cash, firearms, body armor were found. We don't know the details of his involvement, and nothing is allowed to be public right now while the court case is in progress. But he may or may not have been abusing youngsters into addiction, or been involved in robbery, extortion, etc. And what his intentions were - sell weed to get by, or make huge profit quick.

I mean I liked him as a cool and entertaining Quake personality, but that's irrelevant here.

People in this thread expecting UNCONDITIONAL support in these circumstances, just because... why exactly? Just because of Quake? Irrational.

In general. He is young, if he was just selling drugs, not made more serious crimes, i wouldgive him a Seconds chance. I would donate 50euro , not more :)

People keep saying that they wouldn't do something "just because a person plays Quake".

It's a straw man. It's not that he plays Quake. It's that humans form bonds and relationships when they interact or watch one another. Watching a kid grow up playing Quake, possibly for countless hours of GTV and demos, appreciating his play style and ingenuity and enjoying his personality on stream and articles is likely to lead to a human bond.

People want to help one another when they have bonds. They may even overlook some things that lead to that person being in trouble. It's not an idiotic thing, it's normal human behaviour. If you don't care about av3k, well, then this isn't for you.

I won't donate with the information available, but please stop saying that people want you to donate because "he's a Quaker".

Another thing that bugged me is the number of people saying he deserves what he's getting. Do you even know what he did? Do you know what his punishment is?

A decent human being would have some semblence of justice based on their moral intuitions, their moral beliefs and the legal practice they've seen, where some things they think are just and some are not.

Instead, you go from "oh there's a likelyhood he was involved in X, Y and Z, and now he's punished with K" to "fuck him, he's an idiot and he deserves what he got". As if anything he got for whatever would be warranted. I'm not saying you can't have different opinions on what is just, or different estimations on what he's likely to have done. But for fucks sake, don't say he deserves anything he gets regardless of what he did just because you can't imagine yourself in his place. That's just your narrow POV talking.

Apparently his house was raided & contained over 3kg of drugs + guns. His sentence is looking to be around 12 years.

In the UK I'd expect a similar case to get 8-14 years so I see it as a reasonable punishment (at least compared to the UK the Polish sentencing isn't strict) although the maximum is life.

Based on these numbers I'd call it justice.

Sure, it's sad that a young guy might spend the next decade in prison and essentially ruined the rest of his life but it happens all over the world.

I have nothing against av3k in particular, he was awesome on stream at LANs (funny guy) and good quake is good quake. But illegal activity is also illegal activity and punishment needs to be applied.

If your friend says he killed someone & wants you to provide an alibi for where he was at the time are you going to do it?

You talk about justice but paying for a prison sentence to go away is perverting the course of justice. What if his previous supply lead to a teen overdosing? Where is the justice for that person's family?

I for example know of somebody who stashed drugs away at a friend's house. The friend got busted because somebody else couldn't keep his mouth shut. And all the real dealer was worrying about was if the friend was now going to "snitch" on him. Just to give an example, how seemingly obvious "evidence" can be totally misleading.

You can easily tell that these wannabee moralists have no clue of what they're talking about. They're merely abusing the situation.

Besides, 3kg isn't even much. It's really just the neighborhood end-customer dealer stash.

We will know the details when there's a court sentence. Before then, don't draw conclusions -your own conviction- based on the little info we have, that especially when so far you haven't been objective at all when interpreting the facts.

However, we presume avek is indeed involved in something serious because:
1. He and his friends haven't denied it, once.
2. They are asking money to do something illegal, in order to avoid a sure conviction that would make avek lose his youth. These are Meme's words, not mine. They wouldn't do this if there were grounds to defend himself; or in other words they know avek is guilty and now are trying to cheat the system.
(TBH I don't know how this thread isn't nuked).
3. The police report (in PL, google translated) states avek was a part of the caught criminal band and there's vast proof of their activities. Over 10kg of pot is the least of their problems.

Then the police report continues on how they raided another home, obviously the one of the kingpin. Where vasts amount of whatever and guns were found.

What I want you to understand is this. if I wanted to support avek I'd wait for a court sentence first, because before that we don't have any certainty about how avek really is. Until then this is avek's word vs the police's word, so wait until we know for sure what actually happened.

As long as it's a legit plant I don't really care about weed. Maybe it causes some damage later in life but so does eating chocolate/drinking alcohol. It's ones with an easy OD risk I'm in favour of incarceration (including "legal highs")...or those who lace their stuff with rat poison etc

You don't know all the details of anything related to any ongoing trial. What we do know is he's under arrest now or facing serious jail time. If I had a small supply I wouldn't get that...therefore we can presume, based on logic, that he had more than a small supply.

It would be unjust if he got a significantly higher sentence than similar cases.
It would be unjust if there was no drugs at his house, just corrupt cops.
It would be unjust if he was able to pay his way out of prison.

No because I know the waiter will struggle financially. The gripe is with how American companies operate with below minimum wage salaries so if someone didn't tip I'd sympathise with the waiter, not the guy from a similar nation to me.

I love how people who don't know squat about av3k and his dealings reply here professing their unconditional love to him. Duh, I had some pals in Ostroda, his hometown so really all I can do is smile when ppl unconditionally say how much they love him and how innocent he is, awww. AWWW.

Maciek Krzykowski (av3k) or should I call him Maciek K. (due to criminal charges) decided to earn dough after his retirement by getting into the business of drug dealership. Some friends of friends etc. Some guys say he was dealing earlier or at the very least had ties before, but that's something most of us won't ever find out. He tried to play semi-safe by selling ganja mostly but lets say it straight it was more than that (amphetamine, extasy, viagra, etc).

I understand he ended his career and needed money and whatnot but he was something like a paragon of skill in FPS to many youngsters, both here in Poland and around the world. By doing what he did, he pissed on all of this. He fucked up his legacy, his entire credibility and he pissed on the entire community about which he doesn't care a single dick about and basically never did.

That he messed that up is one thing.

It's pretty simple. Outdated views on drugs have lead the continued enforcement of draconian laws. These laws force the sales of narcotics into the backstreets and create an unsafe environment where criminal entities are born. If drugs were decriminalized, and addicts could to safe places to get them, there would be no black market, or it would at least be very, very small. People would not get involved in sales, and distribution of drugs because there would be no, or very little, money in it. Instead the state maintains the status quo, and preys on the poor, locking them up to "rehabilitate" them.

The underlying factors here are the desire to make money quickly and being willing to break the law in the process of doing so. Selling drugs is only a mean which can easily be replaced by selling steroids for example or getting into online crime.

Why are you telling me that? The starting point of this discussion was the claim that the policy towards drugs Poland ruined Avek's life.. Which is wrong for two reasons at least:

- He was aware of the drug policy in his country and hence knew about the possible negative consequences of selling drugs, but still decided to take that route. I do not think that needs to be proven, unless you think he is retarded.

- If drugs would have been legalized, it is likely that he still would have engaged in illegal activities to make money. As this is only hypothetical, it cannot be proven or disproved. HOWEVER, I dare to support my view here with a piece of common sense, namely that drug dealers would not give up their gangster lifestyle and black bmw and start working as a fucking plumber or whatever if drugs would be legalized. You can agree or disagree with that, you can also believe in Santa Claus and unicorns. I made my point.

tl;dr if you really read my posts you would have noticed that I do not agree with the current drug policy and especially criminalizing consumers. However, that was not the point of this discussion.

I think a lot of guys that are drug dealers are either from the ghetto (in america at least) and have to go to shitty schools, grow up hard with very little hope etc, or they are guys that are into the drug scene and then think, hey I could sell this stuff to my druggy friends and make money.

And if drugs were legalized, they would probably find a way to work within the drug industry selling drugs legally.

This is general terms at least. Not too many people get into selling drugs because they are bad lazy people or whatever you were saying. they just fall into it because of poverty or because they are part of the scene.

It would be great if you were right but I think you are a little too idealistic here.

First of all, I do not see a reason why it would be any easier for the ghetto kids to find a job within the drug industry than anywhere else. I strongly doubt that being an addict and/or drug dealer would be an advantage. Still they would need money. So what would they do if they cannot sell drugs anymore? Either work at some low-wage job (all out of sudden?) or switch to another field of criminal activity.

Second, take Germany as an extreme example. There is no real poverty in Germany (if you are poor, you still got an apartment, free healthcare, free education from elementary school to phd, food, internet, tv.. there is a reason why all the refugees try to come here). Still there are more than enough dorks who say I want to make big money, working sucks.

People say that I never write here before and wasnt a part of it. Its true thats why I have logged in to the account to see what did I write in my life on esreality. I readed my comments and I reminded myself something.
I dont know if you remember when I told you guys that the most important things in our life is to have fun, be happy , make gags laugh and lol's . I believe the right mindset make us be succesfull , happy , we living in right with ourselves cause the most difficult is to live with ourselves not with the others. Its us who we spend 24/7 its us who we look in the mirror every morning its us who decided about us )
And I believe that with hapiness and having fun and good sense of humor we just live longer and better life. I never liked wars and sad days or moments thats why I always tried to give happiness from me and be around same people. Thats why i always loved to make lols on streams or servers or put jokes on somebody and on me myself :)
Im telling you this in the beggining only so you dont have to be mad or getting irrating about post or other comments and other opinions cause in the end where we get mad are unhappy its worse.
Thats why I love to spread the love ( this doesnt make sense i guess but i cant express it deeper with my english which im gonna tell you something about later in that post , i dont know if there is a limit cause it will be long ) thats why you always saw my smile in quake <3 which was tbh invented for esreality community after I annouced retirement and saw lots of <3 on stream I picked that up to my smile in quake :)

I wanted to clarify and inform you about the situation im on. Since many of you I think are wrong what happend about reading polish news. I see people imaging me have all the arsenals of shit things . So I wanted to clarify that all the things listed in articles were found in diffrent city . Im not gonna say im innocent cause you guys probably know me more than myself since I grew up with you since 2005 and was around you for these 10 years so you saw all the changes in me during that time.
The only thing which was found in my house was the familly of green Sir Johnson his wife Mary Jane and their child Potti :)))
As I said you know me more than myself so you know I liked to smoke from time to time. Im not gonna deny I have spent some time with them. I liked to play games with Potti boy and have fun on servers, during the days i had long conversations about the life and the existence and the goal of the life with mr johnson . Ive spent some great nights with his wife Mary Jane ( sorry mr johnson i didnt want to tell that public) i watched some movies with mary jane in the evening , we had some nice dinners, and we watched the most beautifull sunsets on the earth <3 I liked to go for a walk in a nice wheater with their son Potti and I dont feel like this familly changed me in a bad way. I never behaved bad after meetings with mr johnson his wife <3 and son. They helped to think deeper and spend some nice time, but this familly is like immigrants in my country its forbidden to keep them in ur house.

I probably have watched every single one demo since the beggining of quake. I remember being young badass dreaming about become quake champion like unkind,lexer, zero4,fatality,cooller and thinking how the hell can I do it.
Waking up and thinking about the game sense, tactics.
Watching the great brothers from Saint Petersburg Russia Leon and Dept playing each other mind games on t4 :D studying leon on dm6 to beat him later on in an internet cup. Felling in love for ztn just for sake of it cause all best players were good on this map.
I was playing poohoo mousepad like other russians and i wasnt ashamed of that, when somebody was laughing at me at polish lans I 10 yo boy was say to them with angry face " you dont know nothing ! poohoo is the best i wont let say bad words about my poohoo ! morfez is playing on poohoo ! "
I went through all these moments in quake. I could tell you move by move all dm6 game of lexer against chaoticz including respawns. How did he won quakecon coming there as a poor boy from far away country to USA to show his skills.
If22 playing tournament right after his accident.
Belarussians fighting with russians on local toruanmemnts ( cherya keeper enemy etc etc
Russian style of playing similiar to all russians and very diffrent from western europe and usa in the beggining of quake. Not playing with railgun to make ur game improove in aspect of understanding the enemy moves, positions and awarness of whats gonna happen , they were making it harder for themself just for fun to improove <3 I loved that
Watching d1ablo playing on hub3tourney1.
Cooller controlling tourney2 like never before.
Saint germain first french player showing how to play aerowalk in a cool way on eswc.Toxic dominating on dm6 cause of sick movement skill and aim at that time and only 3 items on the map.
Czm failing rocfket jomps on dm6.Fatal1ty training before a match in quake4 against tox in the final with his friend who renamed to toxjq just to make fatal1ty feel less pressure in the final.
Socrates playing without socks on tournament was pricless. Him playing dm6 in a way like nobody knew what the hell he was doing :D
eswc nations duel cup with all these mind games and choosing maps i rememver all the matches all the maps.
Then me being on the tournaments together with all the stars improving and winning tournaments, I was all the time part of it. I spend so much time analayzing the game the players the tournaments the maps the mind games without anything getting back cause I loved the game and i was proud to be the part of it.
Watching newcomers getting best.
Remember to going to sk gaming office to cologne cause carmac asked me to practice with an american player which wasnt very known at that time and his nickname was rapha. I had a big break before this tournament. It was eswc athens so i thought i will go for a bootcamp to teach the kid how to deal with quake. After 4 days of praccing and wenting nutz i realized that this guy will be the best and i fell in love with his game and he beat me in semifinal of that tournament and won it later on. I saw all these things happening arround me. How can somebody even think I dont have a hearth for a quake . Im like proffessor on university whatever yoiu ask me about quake I will knew the answer. Its the only thing in my life where i can truly answer the queastions and know that im right . It included a lot of hearth and time spending instead of having fun and doing other things but I dont regret it and never will regret it , and you know why ? As I said happiness,love,honour,soul and memories this is what is the most important in our live. Because they can robb our shoes when we pass some school in Poland :D but they cant robb our memories our soul, our right to be happy and make people happy.
So lets just enjoy the live guys we have it only 1, only 1 and no more. Its now or never if we will the live the way we want and nobody will stop us or tell us that we wrong , we will be the winners, cause nobody will make us stop being happy and having our memories and honour.

Oh in the beggining of my post i promised i will tell you something about english. Actually its not only about english. Its about all languages. I dont know guys if you have the same but sometimes you think about smth important or anything in our life and want to tell about it to other person or write it down and as long as you think what u gonna say its all cool and you feel like when you write it down it will be hell of a William Shakespeare but after you started doing it becomes worse and worse and ur essay is like max of the 10 years old boy in school writing about his dreams and that he wants to become a fireman in future :D

1. I want to know because that's the main issue with this whole thing. I'm not the only one that has asked in this thread (dozens of people -- admins included). Also, just so you know, I'm one of the biggest donators on ESR history; way more than you for example.
- jamerio-like late edit: I noticed you asked the exact same thing to.him on your post at #110. Don't contradict yourself now.

2.- The police report states many offenses and avek said he is indeed involved in "this" and that he is "guilty". The question is about which of those things he actually did and is guilty of, because some are seen here as non harmful, while other offenses wouldn't be accepted by his supporters.
One thing is possession in order to smoke it himself (no biggie here), while on the other side of the spectrum is drug dealing with kids (morally disgusting and a serious crime), or confirm that he repeatedly stole from people (also nasty), or explain his involvement with the band (that had possession of guns and bullets), or if he was using his house as storage for the drugs that him and/or the band was going to sell after (would explain the kilos of several drugs), and so on.

Isn't the fact that he's in trouble enough proof to determine he needs financial help?

Whether that be for legal representation, or just getting things together after its blown over, or even just catching a movie while all this is going on to give him a break.

I'm guessing his life just got a lot harder?

If you think he's a been a good guy on the whole and want to sling him a few bucks, that's up to you.

Av3k should just post his paypal and ask if anyone wants to donate they can.

What he spends the money on is up to him, one would assume its going to have a positive impact on someone you think does or does not deserve some help from playing a game you like to a high level and rising above the average joe.

Is not like everything is going well and he's just asking for money cos he can't be bothered to earn it.

The guy fucked up, doesn't mean he deserves to be burned for it indefinitely.

There is probably still time to save the guy and for him to make a positive change before he decides to say fuck it and continue down that path because he doesn't feel he has any other choice.

And I'm not just talking about him playing Counter Strike!

If someone is a scum, its the paid politicians that in the 1930's by way of a Dupont and medical mafia bribe, prohibited for the first time in human history a plant that apart from having lots of medicinal properties, produces the best fiber with much less water than currently used plants do and even the seeds have the perfect omega3 omega6 essential oils ratio and high quality protein.

Av3k hasnt ruined anyones life, on the contrary he gave quake fans lots of awesome moments, and polish guys a much better medicine than the legal pills from the same mafia that prohibited the holy herb in the first place to improve their dirty pockets.

I say a main reason why regulation exists is drug use by teens and the abuse of drug dealers to them.

For sure weed isn't the innocent plant that a lot of smoker claim it to be. It was at one time, but not today, It can really fuck your life up. What the kids are smoking today isn't that innocent plant that grows in the wild. It's been heavily modified particularly over the last couple decades to be super potent knock you on your ass shit. Av3k ! I think it is possible to get him out of this situation. Just tell us:
a. How much is required (so we can get a rough idea of how much to donate each)

b. Promise it will be used for getting back on the straight, and that u will never be a crim again.

c. Give us what we want! make an honest attempt at a quake comeback.

It must be a really hard time for him. However, this needs some semblance of organisation, goals and deadlines. Heck, maybe ask the community what they want?. It may be unsettling to have to acquiesce to the demands of esr, but i believe that is the only way to see results.

Oh I know you can't make a full time career out of quake. A serious comeback attempt in my eyes is playing 1 - 2 hours of duel a day and playing in the 125fps league and sunday cups.

Give the community great games like evil, cypher, killsen, agent, clawz, base, spartie, demon, base, nitrino etc etc
Imagine if he started streaming, I am sure with his skills and charisma he could make a bit of cash

Quake is the major link we all share with him. His post was moving, and he elaborated on his love and passion for the game. It would have had way more impact if he had a screen shot of recent duels. I think showing passion for the game in actions would motivate more donations.

At the same time it's understandable how difficult it would be to put these efforts into motion while the threat of imprisonment looms. But these are desperate times for av3k, and he's gotta give it everything to scramble out. I wish him the best of luck

I mean, the story out there is he was dealing drugs?
I guess if that's true it requires some jail time too?

So, we're suppose to help out a guy(don't get me wrong I always liked avekkk) who's been caught dealing drugs?

What puzzels me about the whole deal here(no pun intended) is this:
Why would he need money right now? Don't they have some sort of arrangement for paying off fines in Poland?

What happens if he can't pay his fines, or whatever this is?

Why would/should we support this?

On him being a drug dealer. I don't see the problem to be honest. It's just drugs. Majority of my friends are weed smokers, who have to get the drug from somewhere. I do think you have people around you who do the same, am I right?

But, we don't really know if he were a drug dealer to be honest. The drug laws are a fucking joke. Some of the guys I know who smoke weed(or do any other drugs) are hard working people. What can happen is that they be put in prison, for what? staying in his appartment not bothering anyone else but smoke some weed. And that would ruin their whole life.

not because he plays the same game but for 2 reasons:

1) firstly because law in Poland is crewed up and for the same thing (growing cannabis) in for instance uk he would not get 12 years but maybe 100 - 150 hours of social work and some fine to pay depending on the amount they caught him with. someone said that still he knew that there is such insane law - this is not a reason to follow it like a sheep but rather challenge it. when I lived in Poland I used to participate in marches for legalization etc. screwed up law needs to be challenged rather than followed.

among the ppl in ESR, there are ppl with bachelor degrees, Masters, PhDs, respectable jobs, kids, ppl that contribute with their work to the world and make other ppl�s lives better. It doesn�t mean that because they are not masters of quake, they are nobodies. What av3c achieved in quake is respectable and same it is for what many ppl here have achieved in their lives. It doesn�t mean that because you are a fan and supporter of a game, that you are immediately devalued bellow the players you cheer for.

Maciej "Av3k" Krzykowski decided to be a criminal. he decided to be a drug dealer, to keep a gun to kill other drug dealers with, and to traffic drugs and possibly make a ton of money illegaly.

i am glad that he was arrested and i hope he rots in jail.

there is no tragedy happening to him. he wasn't hit by a bus, did not develop cancer, or got infected with aids. there is no evil magic that happened to a poor but good hearted kid;

he tried his hand at being a druglord and got busted. he doesn't need or deserve anyone's pity, much less our money. he is getting the punishment he deserves for his choices.

and to make it worse the fact that someone like him, would come here (after shitting on ESR, too) and beg for money, means he has no sense of shame either, and will probably laugh behind your back if you give him any, like any criminal does.

fuck him.

on the other hand, i hear the kickstarter for hitler is doing good.

@anonymous and pill: gentlemen I know what I'm talking about I was interested in that matter several years ago (8-10). If the law was not changed recently you may grow 5 plants there, u can get 250grams from each= 1.25kg, if you put it aside and wait few months for next yield u got 2.5kg LEGALLY. nevertheless I know that you may carry only 5g and police tolerates if you sell no more than that at a time, you were thinking about that most likely.

@teenqueen: post 683 not you? I'm not accusin u of posting images, I even like that one :), I just dont like that you pick least important thing and laugh at me while u cant respond to any of my arguments in a logical way. Growing 5 plants is NOT legal, in fact, growing plants isn't legal at all in the Netherlands, but it is tolerated to a degree, and that degree being one plant, and you may not sell the harvest.

In fact, the only places allowed to sell weed are the coffeeshops, and here's where it gets weird. Coffee shops are allowed to SELL weed, but not to BUY weed, so even the supplying of coffeeshops is technically illegal, and if you ask coffeeshop owners where it comes from they'll say "Dunno, it just appears".

I don't think the law stated you could grow 5 plants, 8-10 years ago, but I think back then 2 plants was tolerated (not legal).

Also, coffeeshops aren't allowed to have more than 500g lying around at any given time. Since that probably runs out in less than a day in most shops, every shop has much, much, much more than that. As such, any given coffeeshop can be closed down by the police at any time (a fact the authorities seem to use for a yearly police exercise where I live lol).

the cops raided multiple houses and that image is the whole loot. and they were a gang, which is the reason why they raided multiple houses in the first place. taking an educated guess here, but since i got family in the police force, i suspect they had him under control for months, random raids don't just happen.

and it doesn't change the fact that he put himself into this situation.

Discussion has been going back and forth looking at this thread, just to add my 2 cents I do believe he fully deserves the prison sentence, because clearly he reaps what he sowed and no one in here can convince me that he wasn't aware of the concequences.
Fair trial or not, he wouldn`t be in this situation if he didn't deal drugs.
Asking for money is a bit too hypocritical for my taste.
What do we learn from this kids, if you are famous you can bias people for what ever reason to help you out of a difficult situation.
History has proven this many times.
I did like watching him play quake, but that was quake and in real life I couldn't care less what he is doing.

That's how the 1st class operates. Sure 1st class people seem to be of a higher social etiquette who wouldn't dare stoop down to the filthy habbits the poorest seem to thrive on. In truth, many of them are enjoying acts of decadence more so and without punishment. They even use each other's acts of decadence as a blackmail control mechanism. The second one of them steps out of line one of the higher ups spill the beans on their disgusting hobbies. If the guy is clean they can always frame them too.

So yeah. It's no different with a pro gamer. They have status and they can use it to help in a bind.

Let me invoke my previous argument again.
There are currently lots of people protesting (or arguing) against crucifixion of teenager by Saudi Arabian government. Do you agree with this protest or you think it's too okay to crucify him because he fully deserves this crucifixion and reaps what he sowed and was aware of the consequences?
Fair trial or not, he wouldn't be in this situation if he didn't encourage democracy?

America has made democracy its new battle cry now that being anti-commie has gone out of fashion but look at their system...two levels of votes, normally controlled by different parties so they get stuck in limbo refusing to pass each other's legislation. All for the cost of $6b per election.

In this year's UK elections the party that spent the most on propaganda won. Meanwhile you go to pretty much any Western country and people complain about their government being incompetent so whether you can cast a vote every few years or not you still probably won't like them.

UK has been stuck debating a pointless waste of money building a new railway for years now while China's probably built a longer length of new track in the last 6 months.
