Sure its better than before. That SG corridor spawn was extra shitty for example. But this top YA spawn wouldn't be fucked up if only they made it so that when you spawn top YA the opponent can't spawn on top platform of lower YA

Pretty much every map has had fucked up imbalanced starting spawns for years. Why this was never fixed is beyond me.

As a starting spawn, its not that bad imo. I go fast to ra and then come back to pick ya (150armor start not bad), pg and onto lg cautiously for if the other guy is waiting there.

What op says is that if your opponent spawns at lower ya upper ledge (or shotgun spawn)... your opponent will still be first to pick red.... what do you do in that situation?... you have no gun, no armor and risk getting a shotgun blast to the face... (some pros do what you do... even in my opening moves video you can see that fraze even pre-plummels the shotgun just in case the oponent had the shot spawn)

I think its better to just go to ya, grab plasma and if oponent spawned at shot just keep going to the upper ledge and jump to rockets then grab lower ya... that way you are avoiding confrontation and only 100 behind... its not the end of the world in bloodrun.. next cycle will be upper ya, red, lower ya, mega... by sound cues and standing in upper corridors or in lower shards you could probably secure 2 of those items while dealing some damage... even set up to grab one of the majors items.


but then again... this spawn is only sub-par if your opponent spawns shot...

Agreed, depends on your style of playing. I get better results by pushing items even when at disadvantage so i dont care if i lose one frag because of starting spawns. Its all about control for me, and you wont control a map by playing ninja, unless your nick is C Y P H E R.

Spawning lower YA you check if your opponent is at lg and if he is you take YA, go trough tp and take plasma and top YA, go take lg. Then since your opponent is taking RA at that time its expected of him to go pick up RL and you can casualy pickup rail. That is not to bad as you get 100 armor plus shards probably and you have plasma, shaft and rail

I think on LAN this spawn is not bad concidering the PG is easier to hit on LAN.
