I use white optical model now, very similliar shape to ie3.0, feels good, very smooth work with QcK pad. I think SteelSeries still made far better mouses than most of Razer products and I had plenty of them.

How does this link still keep getting passed around. The rival rescue is a chinese exclusive mouse made for OEM/Lenovo. It's cheap and not meant for international markets. Also, it's ergonomic. This rival100 is obviously ambidextrous.

And throw out your razer, I bought the abyssus 2014 a couple of weeks ago and brought it back to the shop the same day, they refused to accept because of very slightly damaged box. Fuck them. And fuck the mouse, the lift-off dist is around 1 meter.

"High LOD" of abyssus the thing to which you get used to in few days. Its the same as you should get used to different shape of the mouse or different weight.
I am sure abyssus2014 was released for people who used old abyssus. But guess you wasnt using an old abussys before so i have no idea why you bought this new one, must be something wrong about you lmao.

You're probably right I should have investigated a little more before making a decision and this also stikes me as a surprise that for the price I bought my abyssus, it's considered a budget mouse. I wouldn't say it's that cheap but it went down in value a little now and next to other razer mice you can say it's a budget case yeah.

Well, it certainly is well known that 3888 has high LOD.

Where do you guys find such information and why official retailers don't provide that info on their sites.

Unless there is no "LOD Feature" it wont be advertised, as for the Sensor itself, it wont be advertised unless for hype purposes.

the rival sensor is great, but the mouse is for me too heavy and sensor position made it feel like negative accel, flicking 180 required more distance .

btw , either the rival is less then 400 dpi, or wmo more then 400 dpi .

4.9 sens on wmo was 5.3 on sensei , measured 360dcm .

This smaller rival looks great .

But anyone used to bigger heavier mouse, rival is great.

It's not a smaller rival. It's a different mouse called the rival100 which is in line with the sensei/kana ambidextrous series.

My WMOs range from 400 - 415dpi. It's not unheard of for them to be even higher, and I believe there's even a specific revision associated with it, not that I can remember anything specific. It could easily be a case of the WMO being high and the Rival being low, too. If you measure the actual dpi of mice you'll realise very quickly that the dpi given is only ever an approximation.

But because its ambidextrous , they must have gotten rid of some of the "hump" which is on rivals left side . That alone makes it a little smaller .

Just got back after receiving a used Rival and testing in CsGo, damn good, game feels same like with logitech g402 if not better! Enjoying railing in q3 too, fokk yeah!

you could remove extra pcb with side/top buttons and cut like 10-15g
the pcb is quite huge and the mouse is overall kinda solid(thick plastic shell) so I dont think you can really do anything other than that
also stupid thing is the sensor position is not caused by dpi button which is located on additional PCB unlike on kana/kinzu :/

I'm using the original FK at the moment, which has a weight of 85g, so taking 10-15g off of the Rival 100 would be ok for me! If anyone actually removes that PCB and measures the weight please let me know what it comes to.

Curious, what's wrong with the sensor position? In my grip the sensor is located around the same height compared to g100s, g30x, g40x, finalmouse, ec2-a, etc. Only KPM and FK (orig) sensors are located much further up which is probably the reason why I feel so inaccurate with them (I do a lot of angular movement as I aim mainly with wrist)

Yes at 1000 CPI+ due to no 12bit motion reporting, not happening at 500 CPI. Who knows why Steelseries didn't use 12bit...

I just got this mouse and have been using it for the past week.

So far I am pretty impressed. Just to address a few things in this thread:

1. I found no negative accel or any accel problems really. Nice 1:1 response and feels pretty smooth.

2. I haven't noticed any problems with the sensor and I think it's great. Took me next to no time to get used to and feels very smooth.

3. The mouse is a little heavier than what I am used to (I have been using an Abyssus for like 5 years). I tend to claw grip my mouse and I had to get used to gripping this a little despite the shape being mostly similar. Also I'm not used to the side buttons, they are great to have I guess but I sometimes hit them with the side of my thumb.

Overall a really great mouse IMO.
