glossy pls. rubberized always wears off anyway. So whats the point.

i have some pretty sweaty hands and i actually prefer glossy but i know the general consensus is rubberized, but ive never had an issue with the coating actually wearing off with any of my mice

logitech uses some sort of coating which imo works well.

A unique colour would, imo, be a plus. I already have too many black mice.

That being said, whatever colour you choose wouldn't put me off as long as the surface isn't glossy. Rubber all day m9

black is the safe bet though, nobodys gonna say they don't like it cause its black

I'm actually using a g400s atm which is navy blue(ish). personally I would really like something like purple or turquoise or something, although I get that those colours will be ridiculously divisive.

I wouldn't say I don't like it because it's black either. If the mouse was good enough (this looks like it will be) I'd buy one even if it had the cast of my little pony painted on the front. The material is the more important thing to me really.

Was wondering what happened to this project. Good to see it's still ongoing because I have yet to find a replacement for my 1.1a (sick of using 2 mice - one for desktop, one for gaming).

For the surface material, I actually prefer a sort of textured plastic like on the imo 1.1a or wmo. Unlike a glossy plastic, there is a more consistent grip with or without sweaty hands. Also, you don't get the annoying dust/dirt particles that stick to the surface like on some rubberized surfaces such as my DA 3.5g (maybe I just don't notice them on my 1.1a because of the slight texture)

My main concern about this mouse is something MaximilianKohler addressed briefly in the oc.net forum here about the front of the mouse where the ring finger might go for some people. However, I have a slightly different perspective on this matter.

From the pictures you posted, the size of the front bezel (?) looks absolutely fine. What might prevent me from buying this mouse is that the transition from the sides to the main buttons seems too sharp.

On the 1.1a, the main buttons don't quite reach the end of the mouse, and there is a slight curve from the sides that give it a smooth transition without any sharp edges. Therefore, I can comfortably allow portions of my ring finger to rest along that area without the edges digging into my finger. Hopefully that makes sense.

it makes sense, you grip your mouse weird lol. but it's no sharper than the sensei raw, hope that helps. if that concerns you, you should be looking at ergonomic mice like the da. seems to fit your grip style better from the way you are explaining it

what i will tell you is that the shell is oem. we're definitely not paying for new molds for slight modifications. considering that while sure it isn't perfect for everyone, no shell will be perfect for everyone....but if the sensei shell was close, this is even closer.

Would you mind posting some pictures of the front of the mouse like this or this? Maybe one at a slight angle as well if it's not too much trouble. Would really appreciate it.

As for my grip >>> haha...idk if my grip is that weird. I think it's similar to a claw grip? But I like to shift the mouse back a bit so my palm can "spoon" the mouse's "hump" and my fingers reach the end of the buttons (sometimes extending over them slightly yet still raised).

The problem with ergonomic mice for me is they never feel agile enough. They tend to have concave buttons and an asymmetrical hump that hinders making minor adjustments (kind of like if a baseball bat or tennis racket had deep grooves for your fingers). That's why I don't use my DA 3.5g anymore.
