Hi,

So i have to upgrade from my very old OS, i want to buy windows 8.1 and be able to upgrade parts of my PC when i want, or format C: and totaly erase what is on HDD periodicaly and reinstal OS.

As far as i understood there is some OEM version of windows which does not allow all that. Or maybe it was only for windows 7 and under and OEM has been abandonned?

Anyway i would like to know if i buy this can i do all what i want with it? http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_...s81_011415

Also i have 3 computers at home, if i ever want to instal on 3 PC do i need to buy this x3 ?

Don't buy enterprise. Doesnt have free upgrade to 10 when it releases.

For probably 95% or more of users, nothing. But it's the internet, so the pro version is clearly better than the home/standard version. o.0

I can't properly recall, but it has some administrator actions which can be enabled without having to turn off windows store integration. Windows store is used to distribute some windows updates and apps (I use some of the finance apps).

I am using Bitlocker. Also some people need to be able to join a domain, many small business networks are setup like that.

Because i want to upgrade to windows 10 for free when it's out, for DirectX 12. I need to upgrade badly i have win XP right now on my main PC and i will upgrade hardware so i need to change OS.
