for a good argument (at least as good as it gets) you'd need a philosopher or at least an amateur philosopher. Those are few and far inbetween.

Have you ever met a religion person in your life? If they're not 14 year olds they almost always have a reason and a decent argument to back their beliefs. Otherwise you just happened to talk with a moron and religion has nothing to do with that - same person could be a moron Buddhist, moron gnostic or moron atheist.

Seriously I'm not a spiritual freak but I'm open minded enough to understand why some people prefer being religious due to certain life changing events in their lives.

I won't deny that it's often taught by parents and that some of them are completely clueless as to why do they believe in a deity - but you have just as many, if not more atheists who are just clueless, simply trying to be smart and edgy and hip and have no idea why they're fighting this war that does not affect them.

People become religious for personal reasons beyond your comprehensions, people turn to deities to ease the pain. A so called personal religion, a set of beliefs is fine, it gets complicated when things get radical. That goes from both sides.

Don't assume you know me or my capability for comprehension. My own state is kinda irrelevant to the discussion but if you want to know I live in a very religious place and more than half of my family is religious.

But anyway I think that you're saying that you cannot deal with the loss of a loved one and therefor there must be a heaven. A place where the loved one has gone and you will be reunited with him/her after your own death.

this largely depends on your definition of 'sane', the sanity of most religious people escapes me and i've grown up around a number of them.

i've met and know several 'jesus freaks' (evangelical christians) and a few muslim converts, all adults, every single one as far removed removed from having a sane or rational argument for their belief in 'godly spirits doing wonders/72 virgins in heaven for every guy/blood and wine as the body of some dude' as they possibly could, in short: they seemed crazy as fuck to me.

OP is just noob. At least in the public test, you only need to get close to the code and point the crosshair at it. Your robot's HUD automatically displays the message.

You'd need to be crazy to require people to get real life QR code readers and scan their screens to solve in-game puzzles :)

I assume in the full game there must be some distinction in purpose between the robot-readable QR codes and the text terminals left around by the human staff.

Actually I just got Serious Sam 3 after finishing The Talos Principle. It's great so far, I had no idea about that game. I've seen it previously on Steam (there's like 7 good games on Steam for Linux so it was hard to miss) but all screenshots were third person. How silly of them. But now I have it and it's most SP fun I had since Painkiller: HD :)

PS. That atheist writer? Nope, The Talos Principle was very theistic. There's a monotheistic God (Elohim) and a Satan (MLA), just with slightly changed properties. In no way anything in the game addresses problems with religion. I was disappointed.

PPS. But the puzzles were great except the 3 times where I had to Google a solution (one was your QR code that didn't scan and two others were invisible connector in a tree and invisible beam source in the pyramid). Two times I got a star first and then scratched my head on how to get the sigil, which was great, seeing how different solutions are possible and how we all think differently.

PPPS. Did you get the paint bucket in C8? Can't figure it out.

i came late to the ss3 party too. online coop is still going.

through newer doom2 maps there is term for many enemys/horde waves, its called slaughterfest style. kind of arena concept. dodging, shot prioritys, steer the waves to a direction, mix the different enemys intelligent so they get more dangerous.

some players of the sam community critised too many instant hit weapons in ss3. i dont know, im not interest in serious DM, coop is my thing. the new melee attack rocks, lasso the bulls, destroying pillars - just fun. melee move feels a bit artifical, but im sure in the next sam they will soften this up.

about talos. some things came up, im only at B :x
but at least i find all stars to this point. wasnt easy. dont get started with the trees, they didnt gave a hint i think...

Yeah, I don't believe there was a hint about that stupid tree! (In the Sphinx level there was a hint I got about hidden receptor you-know-where, but could figure where the emitter was :/)

"Too many instant hit weapons" must be coming from people who have never heard of Counter-Strike ;) (I haven't played anything online in SS3, don't even plan to, it's not Quake so GTFO ;))
