I think the plan is to add more content as they go, but their seems to be a lot of people very happy with what's already included. I haven't played it myself so I can't say more yet, either way.

Been following it a bit. Backed Star Citizen too. ED looks a bit boring, not much content or a story/lore.

But you can get the same experience of procedural generated universe with Space Engine instead for free.
Should be cool to explore in a spaceship.

I dunno, I think it looks really fun tbh. Can't say until I've tried it properly but it seems to have gotten really great reviews from the people with Alpha/Beta/Gamma access. Really addictive and immersive. :)

what annoyed me quite a bit is the launch trailer

Here are a few things I noticed from the trailer that are currently not in the game:
3D models of pilots outside their seats
Walking in statoins
Group mining / Mining to that extent shown there
Very sharp turns / turreting
Quick entery and exit from super cruise
Firing guns near stations (literally if ayou fire a single bullet you will be blasted in seconds by the huge station guns)
Grouping (?) (it was sort of implied with a few different shots however never mephasized so lets let this one slide)
Group jumps

Yeah I found the trailer pretty odd too... I think they took a little too much artistic license. I was looking forward to the game way before the launch trailer though so it hasn't changed anything for me.

Just going to wait for the Xbox One release now.

Bought it a month or 2 ago, played it nonstop for just over a week, not touched it since.

The game feels and looks amazing, but it lacks in multiplayer/mmo features to remain interesting. Its basically space trucking 2015 simulator at the mo.

If you can enjoy a calm game where you just fly around trading its great, if you are looking to play a rogue and world pvp in STV then its meh.

It definitely lacks in content, that's the biggest gripe if you read about it. The gameplay is really fun for a while but you will quickly tire of the grind (unless you are into the trading thing, which personally I am not...). I am looking forward to future updates though. They are adding more multiplayer features (wingmen, group fighting etc) this month, along with some new ships. That should help a bit!

As long as they keep adding content and features the game will end up being great, right now it's good but not enough to do except grind up towards a bigger ship, with trading being the quickest way (still slow...).
