I've had similar issues with UK servers, having like 100 ping without apparent reason.

had this for over a year now. randomly happens some nights a week. used to be a few nights a month though so its deffo getting worse. ping slowly going up to 120ms, no stuttering or anything, just a slowly fluctuating ping.

Vm in london is simply shit in some areas. In 2009-11 there wasnt a single day i wouldnt warp.

No problem here in London with BT. VM is probably being temporarily shit, well shitter than the usual. =P

I'm on talktalk (i'm in the south east, not london) and I have some ping issues although not what you're describing as such. I get about 9ms to servers in Maidenhead, yet on my own personal VPS which is located in Maidenhead I'm getting 3ms, which is similar to what I get on speedtests too. It's a similar story in sweden, where I get about 45ms in game but 31ms on speedtests. NL/DE are both fine, getting 13ms + 23ms respectively.
I put it down to the fact that quake live is just laggy nowadays, but if you think the problem is external you could try flushing your dns cache or resetting your TCP/IP stack. Not sure if that would work though, ql might use UDP for packet transmission... maybe someone more informed on the matter can clarify that for me.

Got 800 on deu today.

My connection has been terrible for over a week now - maybe 2 weeks. The game has only been playable for short times on the odd day. I'm getting bad spikes on all servers.
I've just tried to play a game now, the only server that I would ping ok to was a polish one (I'm UK) and that started to spike after a short time 60 - 100+ spikes. Unplayable. I usually ping 17 to UK servers but of late it's been around 30 with spikes of 100+. I thought it was a problem at my end? :o
Virgin cable/fibre 30Mb BTW.

Why ping to Europe? We have lots of nasty stuff here. Don't ping here pls.
