Man this kinda of way of thinking is not quite correct. Rome did it by forcing others to do, like for example South American indigenous people didn't have to use the force upon others in order to build-up things.

You've got the wrong idea of what I said. For example in China, they extorted people to rise money to build-up the Empire for example, like mafia? This is using the force, you can call it slavery, if you accept the idea of somebody goes to your door and says: pay the bill to the mafia or you will die! isn't it being forced to do so?

You are missing some points here.

Not at all, some indigenous people in South America didn't need to do that, specially those from the Amazon region. Others in Australia and in Africa in general, other types of clans in China as well, the Sumerians, I mean you are generalizing.

The "conquistadores" like Spain kind ripped out the Incas and some other indigenous people, this is true but not all "indians" were exterminated nor by "burned to the ground". Yes Portugal did too, but the quantity of indigenous people here in Brazil have survived more than in other places in the Americas.

Egyptians doing sacrifice:

Once again the South American indigenous people aren't only the Aztecs nor the Incas, you are forgetting a lot of genuine people here. There were many types of indigenous people here in Brazil, in Paraguay (they still speak a mix of guarani and spanish), Argentine "indians" some from Patagonia (have you heard that indigenous people like the Australians were found in Argentina? …you should check this out), so many man.

Technically the only "indians" that were fighting between each other were the ones in the Chilean, Peru, Equator lines. And some tribes and Aztecs in Mexico. The other indians affair about fighting is not quite relevant.

As you said: the history is told by the victors. So that is why I do my research without generalize things nor accepting information at once.

Edit: By the way, the Romans called the Huns as barbarians, but in fact they were in many manners more civilized than them. However define the proper meaning, quality and quantity of measuring civilization is more important than "forcing others to do things", which by no means is the real concept of being uncivilized (by our current notion of civilization and so on).

all civilizations were builded by conquests, wars, killing, pain, suffer and uncivilized stuff. And every civilization need to be prepare to defend their people. The world is not peaceful place. See this, Hitler & Stalin, WWII wasn't long time ago. Really. Leaders of the countries has very good tools to force their people to invade other people. Nazis knew it very well. Thats why everybody need to know that when you will onvade for eg. Poland it will cost very much. And thats why we need to invest in our military.

To belive in such thing that we could live all in peace is unfortunately... utopia.

btw. It sad thing that Roman Empire fallen and they didn't conquer whole Europe to unite it ;) you know... Augustus, Emperor of Roman Empire gave the Europe maybe the longest time of peace. Pax Romana, for 2 centuries!

But you can evolve in time of peace even better than war time. War = cost too. And look at USA. Where europeans (yes) builded an empire, and there was only 1 war? And look at the Europe and these all centuries of punching each other.


Also look at the asians and hmm... muslims. In some periods of time their nations were superior and modern.


Even now there is colonization but it works in different way, its possible to do this without war.

PS. indians still live in the bush and the reason that they still exist is that 'modern civilization' let them. Every civ. need to evolve. I played Civ 5 and I know it. ;d

I read but I don't belive :) ... I simply don't belive in peaceful, primitive nations like indians or others. Every history of nations is quite cruel.

And my point is different. And really who cares how nations evolve? by peace or war? The final score is much more important. ALSO, peace time is better than war time to evolve. etc.
