It's a very useful tool if you're seriously into making videos of demos.
The only problem is nothing has dm90 support at the moment, so it's only useful for demo backlogs.

In theory, it is possible, depending on the amount of missing data, of course. If you just to need to fix small lags (up to maybe 100ms), any decent non-linear interpolation method would take care of that. I guess that's exactly what demosmoother does. Anything above that becomes harder to extrapolate with some level of precision or accuracy.

However, I don't think that's all that matters because there are many movies that with extremely smooth slow motion scenes that certainly required a lot of interpolation and I guess they only used Wolfcam or MME.

Probably it isn't just one thing you're looking for, but a certain combination of configurations and processes to get the end result you want.
