Probably 1gb+ for a 20-minute video "because I wanted good quality" (read: "because I don't know how to encode right and I'll just bump this numbers over here to their maximum").

People spend years sharping their skills on making 2hr movies with ultra high quality into a 660mb file then any FPS player goes and do a 15 minute video in 500mb+ and kills the whole internet on the process. Really depressing.

It feels like some frags were ripped in timescale <1 (like 0.9), low sens style powa... :D

To my eyes (haha what a pun - not intended) the only bothering problem is the image quality. with such a bitrate (c.a 3500 kbps... tribulation was 4000 kbps) you can get so much better quality, this is due to dithered 16bit screens...
sometimes what you could qualify as an equivalent to the exposure is too strong, but that's not the biggest problem.

if your avimaker hasn't ripped all his stuff yet, I suggest he captures his footage with something like twice the resolution, and batch reduce it to 640*480 (ie with photoshop for a cleaner result, not so sure about irfanview :) ), which should get rid of most of the dithering and smooth out the edges (which both would result in less image artifacts and therefore optimal compression, which would allow you to reduce the bitrate and thus filesize :)

about the music, I'm personally not overly fond on hip hop with lyrics but it made a nice change (compared to the majority of the other productions out there) and was well enough synced to the action, so why not :)

it's all I have to say, I think the full production might very well be quite promising :)

hehe i knew everyone would dislike the music...Quake world is so hardrock only. I can tell you that the full movie wont contain any hiphop...or hardrock for that matter and yea it will be pretty big and much more worked whit...this is only a little trailer the full version will be 100times better =)
