144hz, native res, I have no idea what an ICC is.

no icc profile tried yet. 120hz, native res, brightness 8, contrast 18, saturation 47, color temp user (100/94/93), skin tone natural, smart view off. sharpness 50, trace free 60, ascr off, game mode

im still not sure what mode to use. does it make any difference in input lag or anything else? thats why i left it on game mode for now.

why not 144 hz?

read in a review the colors got exponentially worse the higher the frequency used, as far as i remember haha. i also use a 2nd monitor thats on 120hz max. got no issues with it running the way it does. if i want 144hz in a game i can still do that ofc :)

Using lightboost to eliminate blur will result in added response time.

yeah i know, dont need lightboost at all with this monitor, obsolete feature :>

It would be nice to use a higher resolution 16:10/9 with good hz with other things/games though :/.
Im about to buy a VG248QE, but im having doubts it might dissapoint me with quakelive performance and have me throw it out and go back to ze crt.

248 is one of the fastest panels at the mo, i dont think you would be disappointed input lag wise. it has a pink ish glow on bright red colors though which really stood out for me at first. now that i got used to it i kinda dont notice it anymore. so ye, colors arent its strong point. BUT, i havent tried a custom icc profile yet which could improve that.

It works fine for Quake but I still preferred going back to CRT.

if only my 454 still worked okay. cant see proper black/white as part of the darker colors are just black. colors look puke too :(
