It's rather high friction pad

allsop is not even remotely high friction.

i recall it having higher friction than a qck, but this was after a rinse.

i have qck+ and allsop. allsop is about the same but smoother.

Why not look for something cheap and plastic but black?

I prefer cloth. Also it doesn't need to be black. It tracks fine on blue and red. White is the only color that has trouble.

the original, smaller version of the raindrop was as widely used as the qck's are nowadays and was very, very popular especially among quakers.

the XL version has a slightly different texture (it's a slower pad overall, the original was quite fast for a cloth pad) and while it's smoother than a qck+ it has more friction.

I've had the a small raindrop and the largest one for the past decade. They still seem to work fine.

Cannot really compare allsops with other mousepads since I simply have not used anything else.


Although it should be noted that you should pick a mouse pad that compatible with your mouse. Everything doesn't work on cloth and so forth.

what difference is there between your two pads? i keep hearing they are different. i have an original allsop but i've recently lowered my sens significantly and i keep running out of room. i don't want to buy the bigger one if it's not the same or nearly the same as the one i already have

They should be pretty much the same.
I cannot really use the small one because due to my low sensitivity I run out of room.

Has a smooth, yet high friction feel. Good maths if you like having high friction. Used it for years.

Only reason I swapped to Puretrak Talent is because out of all cloth pads that seemned to be the all rounder where mice showed the least tracking issues on (ROCCAT Savu for instance had this weird spazz where it would occasionally skip on alot of pads, even though it reached well over 4 m/s).

QPad PRO UC range is cloth, and smoother than QcK.
