Online/Offline Issue in QL (18 comments)

Hey everyone,

I got a problem as I've googled and searched in ESR some of the people have the same issue as well.

I'm going online/offline quite a lot, it is annoying to my friends as much as annoying for me too. (They see me online/offline but I see all of them online/offline)

I get

Disconnected: 17 ConnUserDisconnected
Disconnected: 7 Connloerror

those errors in my console before going online/offline

1) Tested if my IP is changing. (NOT)
2) Tested changing my IPv4 DNS to auto/OpenDNS/GoogleDNS (None helped)
3) Opened 5222 TCP port for QuakeLive XMPP in my router (Didn't solve)
4) Checked tracert to xmpp.quakelive.com (no timeouts or anomaly in any hop)

Any suggestions?

i had that too and apparently there was something wrong with my friends list/blocked players list

Yep, I've had this happen. Not really much of an issue though, just a minor annoyance.

actually it started to be a problem, whenever this online/offline issue triggers, I go 999 for 1 to 1.5 seconds which sometimes happens in annoying ways (dropping off ledge / losing a fight while I was winnning)

I've removed everyone off my friendlist now.. At least I don't see anybody going online anymore :P

they've gone worse. actually im freezing totally now. sound is like rrrrrrrrr (feels like blue screen coming) then 6 sec later, game is back

have you tried using a second account?

if the 2nd one works without error it's definitely(probably) a problem on their end and customer support should be able to do something about it, eventually.

if not, then urfukt
