Ended being a good thing. No more "stream need cooller" to pump viewers, faceit zoot doing solid numbers, not mindblowing but basically better than what most cups having cooller last year did (special events like legends cup dont apply). Evil Cypher being a great rivalry helps a lot too. Some quake millonarie should hire RAPHANG to live and play in europe and were set :) Im seeing a small but steady increase in my region of duel servers with rookie players, which is a very good sign too.

tl;dr = PLAY MOAR QUAKE

Its exactly the other way, youre twisting my message, which basically is that a healthy scene cant depend just on one player.

Im not hating here bro, cooller still is a HoF and surely him participating would mean more specs, but stream numbers having less dependence on him is good for everyone, even for cooller as im sure he enjoys specting top level games as any player does, and an event with more specs also bring more drama and better performance from players.

Then I completely misread your post. What I gained from it was that you think Quake is doing better because Cooller is not playing at the moment, when what you really meant was that Quake can still do well, even without Cooller?

That's a more-than-usual stupid comment. How did he waste his youth?

He traveled the world from when he was just 15 and still does, to some extent (gamingwise).
He never drank alcohol, so I doubt he 'missed out' on a lot if that's one of your concerns.
He got married, got his education and now co-owns a car dealership, all the while having a professional gaming career on the side.
Oh yeah, and money.

i don't do anything cleverly, i am very bold. i love cooller as an e-sports personality. but not more than i like lady gaga. for beeing around, keeping everyone entertained.

let's face it, most e-sports people we know have serious geek issues. only a couple i can think of who seem normal to me. let's say all the americans but not rapha.

I didn't see the guys original reply but maybe he's referring to Av3k who said he had put so much time into quake, although Av3k never said he considered it a waste. Like you say they have all got quite a lot out of it, travelling the world and making some nice money along the way.

The euro top players was going to have a lot more time/practice vs him to find weak sides of his game and abuse them. Same goes the other way around, but as he is only 1 player and top euros are a lot more = not that beneficial for him.

It only did well because of the dota streamer that carried people to the quake streamer. If not, it'd have been 4k or less in the whole weekend.

And it's pretty much a established fact anything cooller boosts viewers considerably. That's why ddk says it every 5 seconds :P

People always same that but its not necessarily pro players, in-fact most viewers zoot every got was when he was streaming zanzan play in the swedish league with over 4,000 viewers. Next game dropped to 1000-something viewers. Zanzan being a girl obviously has implications in this case surprisingly.
