edit2: People that think this can split the community, i agree that is a point thats hard to predict. Would you be ok to implement it only in practice/warmup(optional ofc)?

Reading the comments on the analog clock thread, ive realized something. It would be very cool to have ie an unranked duel mode, where you have item timers, spawns are marked, and all kind of help that we can give guys trying to evolve from basic ca gameplay. Also available on practice mode, and why not optional on warmup? Visual clues are so common today in most games, and some of the code is already done, like the item timers. We arent changing duel, just helping people understand better what is happening before they try to ready up.

Maybe it could be implemented in ctf and tdm, but i see duel as the clear mode for a player trying to transition into full quake skillset. And anyway team modes requires so much that at that point you already shouldnt be needing newbie mode anymore. The implementation can vary, but the objective must be clear, like in every activity helping the newcomers with what we already know, propels their path towards places we couldnt even dream before like today is omgomg C Y P H E R.

edit: another prolly not so hard to implement feature imo is what i posted some time ago, armors and mega on the map on warmup(optional), practice(optional) and newbie mode doesnt disappear when taken, they become like 25% transparency of normal item.
